    Returing to Aruba!!

Finally - we are returning to Aruba for the first time since we honeymooned here 33 years ago in September!! It is going to be a shock, I am sure, to see how much has changed on the island. When we discovered Baby Beach 33 years ago it was controlled by an American petroleum company (??) and we had to show our US identification for entry. We were the ONLY people there and hardly anyone knew of it's existence... We will definitely go back there to see how it has changed.
We are booked at Bucuti and looking forward to an amazing anniversary trip!

Welcome TB to the aruba.com community forum!

Aruba and its changes will blow you away......seriously.

Baby Beach......a terrific snorkel spot (do not go on the weekends as it is crowded.)

The Valero refinery has been closed for quite a while.

    Again, welcome!!

WOW! 33 years is a real long time! That was in 1981? Many things have changed in the meantime, lots of new hotels, restaurants, malls, shops etc. The airport is bigger, so are many streets. But there are probably many things which are still the same.

I'm very excited for you to finally return to Aruba.

And looking forward to your comments and impressions.
