    SCUBA in Aruba?

Wife and I will be visiting Aruba for the first time in about 2 weeks. I've researched a bit regarding dive sites and dive shops, but haven't made any reservations as yet. Any first hand recommendations from you guys on the ground?

My husband and I are divers but have not scuba' in a number of years.
Our son took his paid course with unique water sports and they were terrific.

I also recommend JADS and Aquawindies.

Actually I hear no negativity re any of them.

My favorite dive is the Jane Sea and the Antilles.

Dear husband and I are snorkelers these day. ( we snorkeled Klein Bonaire yesterday)

Thanks for the welcomes and dive information. I've had the opportunity to dive multiple areas in the Caribbean, but never this far south. Looking forward to it, and I hear that the Lionfish population is a real problem so I might just get some spearfishing as well!

I forgot to welcome you pacman. Welcome!

spearfishing is not legal in aruba.
that being said, there may be a special spear fishing tool that is legal with a particular permit.

I will direct a friend to this posting and he can instruct you re: lion fish hunting/killing.
    lionfish are delicious and
    mild.

My husband had a great experience with Unique divers. We just walked in our first day and he was able to set up a time for later in the week with no problems. He says the equipment was great and kt was a professional operation.
