Visiting Aruba for the first time and need helpful tips and advice.

Hi there! We are so excited to visit Aruba 7/23 for 6 days! My husband and I with our 18 and 16 year old daughters are coming from Maryland to stay at the Divi village. Can anyone tell me the best way to get from the airport to our resort? Also we are staying through RCI and our room has a kitchen so we need to stop by a grocery store as well. Anything helpful would be great! Thank you!

welcome to the aruba. com community forum

there will be plenty of cabs at the airport to bring you all to the divi village
    taxi fares....... http://www.aruba.com/sigma/Aruba_Taxi_Fares.pdf
also too, close to Divi (less than a mile) is LING supermarket. be aware that grocery prices are in aruba florins, but can be converted to US dollars at checkout.
    1.75 florin to $1.00

i suggest visiting all of the categories/forums on this site; especiall activities/sports, culinary AND getting around aruba

    again, welcome.
you folks will have a ball!

Hello, Bon Dia, and Bon Bini to the Forum,
Getting to the Divi Village from the airport is quite easy and stress free. As soon as you exit baggage claim and customs just follow the crowd to the Taxi Stand where you will be able to hire a taxi to take you to your resort. There will be no need to convert your US dollars as it is official currency on Aruba along with the Florin( local currency). Just know that in the course of your transactions you may receive florins(coins) with your change. There are several grocery stores to choose from to meet your needs, the most popular options being Super Foods, and Ling & Sons. The reception desk at Divi Village will have maps and such letting you know how to find places of interest. The receptionist on duty will be more than willing to help you out with any questions or inquiries.

Once again, welcome to the forum and enjoy your trip.

Divi has a shuttle that will drop you off across the main highway from the grocery stores. You then need to cross the street and walk about a block to Lings Grocery. You can walk back to the shuttle stop and they will meet you there. If you have a lot of groceries, it would be easier to take a taxi back from Lings. They line up outside of the store. Have fun!
