I'm jealous!! I stroll through the beautiful Hyatt on my morning walks and visit the parrots, toucans and other colorful birds, as well as the swans. Hubby and I have always wanted to stay at the Hyatt, but it's a little pricey. Our "never miss" restaurant is at the Hyatt. The food and service are always awesome at Ruinas del Mar. When we were there in Dec, 2012, we struck up a conversation with the waiter and we all determined that he worked at what was once call the Americana when we were there for our honeymoon in 1989. He deduced from our conversation that it was our anniversary and brought us cake after having the chef decorate the plate. They do everything top-notch there, as many places do on the island. Our 25th anniversary is in December and we've talked about trying to stay at the Hyatt. I can't wait to hear your report!

We stayed there about 9 years ago for our "extra"4 nights after the time share week trade. It was nice. The only thing that we didn't like was the lack of a sit on balcony. We only stayed there because we got a special deal that gave us 4 nights for the price of 2. I would stay there gain if I could get that same deal. Unfortunately, they are one of the highest priced places on the island. Maybe the highest before they opened the Ritz Carlton.

I definitely will leave a story! I can't wait to get there. It seems like the closer I get to leaving time the longer it is taking to get here. I have been using the checklist that was put on the forum to make sure that I don't forget anything.

The lack of a sit on balcony seems kind of silly considering the area that they are in, but I think that I will be spending so little time in the room that it isn't going to matter as much. The grounds from the pictures are beautiful.

The Hyatt is also home to our favorite casino. We have had our best luck there. It is beautiful and the location is great. Make sure to get out and try some of the great restaurants that are close by.
Not sure when, but we will be back
