Ahh I now understand. The kids with liquids in carry on luggage were NOT your kids. Haha. I am a bit slow.

Dinner the first night was very romantic. We were married on that very spot 2 years ago at the Sunset Beach Bistro at the Divi Phoenix. They were doing the Saturday buffet and no menu, but it was still pretty good. We had beef, chicken, grouper, and spare ribs from the grill. The grouper was warming in a butter sauce in tin foil on the grill, very good. I doubt any of our restaurant dinners this week will be as cheap as $20 each. Throw in 2 drinks before dinner, 2 glasses of wine, and a nice tip for the wonderful staff and we came out just over $90.

We retired to our balcony to celebrate with our champagne from Bucuti to end the evening.

Thanks for all the wishes. We have spent a lazy Sunday on the beach. They had a spicy sauce from Madame Janette's, of which I took too much. It was good and kept us satisfied until about 1:15 pm. We had a private beach hut and got plenty of sun along with plenty of Polar and Balashi Chill. Lunch at Pizza Bob's. The Mexican pizza was delicious and we have leftovers for a midnight snack. Bought some ice cream, Ponche Kuba, and Mango infused Rum at the Alhambra shops. Watching the Braves-Phillies from the hut on the beach. Dinner tonight at Windows on Aruba.

I feel like we are home again.

The spicy sauce was for my eggs this morning. I was anxious to skip ahead to describe the beach. My wife is sunning again, but I'm under the hut preparing for Baby Beach tomorrow. She tans and I burn. I have to pace myself.

Windows on Aruba was awesome! The service was exceptional and the food delicious. They brought champagne to celebrate our anniversary. I tried some of the bisque to start. It was good, but not the best I've had. For our entrees, we both had the grouper and crab. The crab was fried with a good cornmeal breading. The grouper was a very generous portion and was served with a creole sauce. The fish portions were served with mashed potatoes and spring vegetables. It was a very tasty dish. My wife was overcome by the amount of food. We each had a glass of Chardonnay with our meal. They also brought us a small pistachio mousse with a candle and frozen chocolate writing after we had finished our entrees. Sonia, our hostess, took pictures of the dish with our ringed fingers. To top things off, we had the Baked Alaska for two for dessert. They served it with two shots of Bailey's. Somehow, we got our second wind and managed to finish it. The check wasn't bad at $112 and I added a healthy tip for the sensational service.

Tonight, we retire to our penthouse deck and enjoy the ocean breezes. Tomorrow, it's Baby Beach followed by some rum shops culminating in Zeerovers for dinner and cold Balashis.

    Bon nochi

Happy Anniversary!!!! I am going down to Aruba next month and rented a 55 foot yacht for me and my wife for a 2 hour midnight cruise. It will be a complete surprise for her and I can't wait. My 17 year old daughter knows and will be taking my boy to dinner that night. I love hearing peoples stories on here...gets me psyched for my trip!!!!
