4th trip report

The weather has been unusual to say the least. Last week we saw a full day of rain on Friday with very high winds and the ocean was extremely rough. Finally today, Monday, things are starting to calm down. Lots of younger college aged kids arriving for their break. My kids arrive on Thursday so they will be happy!

We went to Que Pasa for the first time and it was fantastic. This one will become a regular. Went to Busters garage (new sports bar) on Saturday night and it was packed! All sorts of sporting events on the many TV's surrounding the walls. For those Canadian's out there, one of the managers is Canadian and they have NHL hockey on TV there all the time. NHL Centre Ice was broadcasting HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA from the CBC on Saturday. That was fun (especially as the home team won!!) but the only drawback is there is no sound. Might go tonight to see the two Canadian teams play.

Went to Le Dome, haven't been there in 5 years. The food was very good and service most attentive but the restaurant is in need of a bit of a freshing up. The carpets are tired looking and rather unusual to see in a restuarant in Aruba. The place just needs a bit of a make over??

Met the manager of the Surf Club and he is very nice. He is a very positive and approachable. There are going to some improvements in the property which will be good. For example, the washrooms by the Captain's Galley are going to be relocated. Kitchen facilities will be expanded and the new washroom location is going to be much more favourable.

The area around the High rise district is growing by leaps and bounds. So much is going on around here, that the whole area is changing. So far, doesn't seem for the worse but they are reaching a point where hopefully, it won't be too much. Finding the balance is important and I am not exactly sure what that balance is right yet.

hoping for sunshine

Right behind Hard Rock, the same new complex. There are a whole bunch of new restaurants there.

Champions is great but if its hockey you want to see, they only carry some of the NHL games. If you want to watch a Canadian team, they have to be playing a US team as that is the feed they get. Champions will put on the sound, which is nice.
Busters has the hockey package and they get all of the hockey games! But no sound

Busters has 25 tv's there, I am sure it will be on and if not, they will put it on for you.
Enjoy!
