8/8-8/23 @ the Ritz for 20 year vow renewal

We are headed to Aruba on Monday to begin our 15 night trip. We are renewing our vows on the beach part way thru our stay. We have friends coming from home and friends from the island coming to our service as well, it should be amazing! This will be my 19th trip to the island and the trips never get boring. We are staying at the Ritz for our stay.

I have a few days to pack and prepare for our stay...I can't wait!

We will certainly get pictures of the event. We hired Crooze (spelling) photography to take pictures for us. Chuck, I will post some of the island as well but sadly my foot has not healed enough since I saw you last month the chances of me taking any meaningful walks and providing extra pictures could be slim to none.

I certainly will share some. I am counting down the seconds. I am officially in vacation mode! My projects for today are laundry and showing our babysitter how to properly water all of our flowers. Yes, I am paying my babysitter to come to my house to water my flowers while away on vacation, lol. She is a babysitter, dog sitter and gardener all in one. The reference to the dogs is she has stayed at my house to watch the dogs while we travel. This trip the dogs go to the vet/kennel for 2 weeks though.

    Enjoy your anniversary in October!

We all know you love your walks....... but it's OK and very theraputic to just hang on the beach..... and of course, there's poker for the nights....!

It's finally time for the vow renewal ceremony! Im also looking forward to seeing the pictures. I've been looking for a ring similar to my "dream ring" that you purchased. I'm sure that you will have a wonderful time. Take care of that foot and don't overdo on this trip!

My son is ready for some adventure this trip. At dinner tonight he said he wants to go on a fast boat, bowling, arcade several times, the movies, and to Ritz kids 10 times. Well I am pretty sure we can handle the first four wishes pretty easily but 10x at the Ritz kids is not happening, lol, but he may get five or six visits over 15 nights.

I am trying to narrow down some new places to try this trip. On the list for new places to eat includes Barneys, The Local Store for a casual dinner and a few beers, plus Las Ramblas, and I am sure to pick a few others to fill some of the nights we don't have filled with our regular places.

make certain that you make reservations for Las Ramblas.

have you ever taken your son on the atlantis subarine ride?
there are coupons around in the tourist bags and booklets.
if your son shows even the slightest desire, i can guarantee he will LOVE it.
it is safe. non chlostrophobic, huge windows and easy to get in and out.
i am not sure that you and your wife will be thrilled, but you son most likely will go bonkers!!!
if it is in your budget, do it!

my son went on the atlantis (in st thomas or grand cayman) 25 years ago and from that time on.... his life revolved around submarines.
now, he is employed by the DOD as a nuke engineer for the subs in dry dock for nuke refits. (and also lt cdr navy reserve)
