    8/8-8/23 @ the Ritz for 20 year vow renewal-fullsizerender-26.jpg

My son is doing considerably better already. The staff at the Ritz come thru again. While we got our little guy some Motrin for the pain Carlos was busy at work getting drops to treat swimmers ear. When we checked back in with him he had the drops and a special typed note for my son as follows.

Dear Superman CJ, Hope you will feel better by these superpower dropps!!! If there is anything else I may do to make you feel more comfortable, please let me know. Warmest Regards, Carlos.

So my wife asks what do we owe and his response was a hug. He would not take a penny. These people are just amazing in every way possible!

I am sitting on the balcony relaxing a bit before we head to breakfast on the club level. Yesterday was a nice day. We hung out swimming in the pool and ocean all day. We then went to Barneys for the first time. The service was excellent. The food received mixed reviews. Anyone who had the meat did not enjoy it at all. I had one bite of my filet and would not touch it after. The beef tips were not much better. The other dinners were excellent as were the apps. I really enjoyed their shrimp and pasta, and that is what I will get when we return. The server realized I did not eat my filet and asked why. I responded I really did not enjoy the flavor at all but I was okay. She quickly responded that it was not okay that everyone was not happy and promptly removed the item from the bill. Because of the really good customer service I would return despite half of the meals being not what we hoped. That said, I have figured it out and I won't have issues going forward. My issue is I only like USDA meat, so I will make sure all burgers/filet are like that going forward.

Our good friends are at the airport as I type this, they are headed home. It was our first trip with someone in a long time and it went very well!

Last night was a very enjoyable night. We had a sitter for our twerp (If you need a sitter contact me) and we went out to a GREAT dinner at BLT. I had what I always have, filet, salad, fries with my Maine lobster...incredible. My wife had the chicken dish and a different type of salad which were both incredible. The chef wanted to prepare a special desert for us but we declined as we were stuffed. He still sent over a few treats for us on the way out.

We had Gwen again as a server, she was terrific as always! Gwen was assisted by Eddie who we had the other night. We also had the opportunity to meet and chat with the manager of BLT. It was pleasure to meet Jessica. She has an amazing staff and its my favorite place to dine in the world.

After dinner we went to the Hilton for a bit to introduce my wife to many of my island friends. After that we headed to the Ritz to gamble a bit before I tucked her into bed and headed back out. I actually won a couple of hundred playing poker last night.

Headed to breakfast soon. Then will relax for a bit. We have couples massage scheduled for 2pm and I am counting down the seconds.

Just when you think you have seen/done it all at the Ritz, we got introduced to the spa experience today. As I mentioned the other day, Maryanne and Ladi of the Ritz Kids gave us an incredible card and gift for our vow renewal. We went to the spa appointment they set up for us today at 2pm. We just finished up about 20 minutes ago and all I can say is WOWOWOWOW!!!!! The spa is off the charts! We started with an incredible couples massage, followed by a foot reflexology appointment, and topped that off with a "private bath/hot tub" with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries for 30 minutes.

The appointment blew us away! I don't enjoy my feet being touched at all, EXCEPT I 100% loved my first foot reflexology appointment. The spa was beautiful and the service was amazing. Wow is trip better than I could have ever imagined!

Last night finished one of my best days on the island in all of our visits. After our wonderful massage we had dinner last night at Solanio. We requested to sit be assisted by Kenneth who does a great server, with a very nice personality. I had my typically chicken parm, my wife had an excellent pasta dish and my son of course got to be a chief for the night. Kenneth brought out the mini table and all the fixings so CJ could make his own pizza. After creating his masterpiece they took CJ into the cooking area to assist the chef in putting the pizza in the oven. The pizza was excellent and was a great snack when I rolled in at 3am this morning after a night of poker. Poker has been much better that last couple of nights, I was a little over $600 so no complaints there.

So as we are finishing up dinner, our friend Jovi ( manager of food and bev in the casino) and one of her wonderful workers Rossana came to present us with a small gift from them. It was a very touching simple sign for the house that will always make me think of them. I don't recall the exact words but it was something about making sure you give your loved one a kiss before bed each day.

Tonight my son has movie night at Kids club so we will do a quick dinner together then go and gamble at the Ritz. I plan on doing the Lobster mac n cheese from the club level tonight for dinner, I have their menu memorized and Friday is my favorite, lol.

Another great day, I have not seen one drop of rain in our first 11 nights

Yesterday was a relaxing day around the pool/beach area. When were were leaving the pool area Vianny one of the retail workers, presented my family with a Ritz shirt for all of us. My wife is very happy with her new pink Ritz shirt, as we are all. She is super sweet and has a heart of gold, Vianny always makes me smile when I see her.

We had no fancy meals yesterday but we did enjoy a wonderful lobster mac n cheese prior to heading out to gamble a bit as a couple, our son was a movie night. I am thinking about taking my son to the movies today but only time will tell.
