Its been a blast sharing our trip. I am headed to bed for a good night sleep prior to heading back home in the morning. I will post again when I return home to fill in a few details. All good things must come to and end. Bon nochi
Safe travels.... I've really enjoyed hanging out with you and the family. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks to all of you! Just a little wrap up from yesterday. We had had plans on dining at Solanio last night for another great meal and so CJ could make pizza with the chef again but CJ decided he rather eat with our good friend Sebastian at the Divi Bar for our last dinner this trip. So at about 5pm or so I canceled our reservations to Solanio. We dined at the Divi bar (at the Ritz) and everyone enjoyed their meal. I had another great burger and a caesar salad, my wife had chicken quesadillas and my son had pasta and meat balls. Everything was great and the service terrific.
Later at around 9pm we received a knock at the door. The "Solanio team" sent up ballons, spiderman place mat, cup and chocolate chip cookies with a nice note for my son and family. I am not sure which staff member put this into place but it was much appreciated by all of us.
This morning as we were checking out, Carlos from the club level was waiting in the lobby for us. It was great to thank him again for everything. He was there to wish us a safe trip and to present CJ with a Junior Engineering Certificate for completing his "initial training" If you missed it earlier, Carlos took CJ to the "backside of the resort" to see everything behind the scenes, from the 500,000 gallons of freshwater to the generator system that we actually needed to use yesterday for about 45 minutes while the power was out.
I am sitting in the crying room now...our flight is now delayed by over an hour and my son keeps saying, dad lets just stay. Which has been all he has said all morning. When we were at the elevator he put his hand over the down button and said, I am not touching it I don't want to leave here.
