    8 days of paradise

We have been back from Aruba for 18 days and I am just now getting around to posting our trip report. We had a most enjoyable time. Beautiful weather, white sandy beaches and the wonderful water. It was beach time every day and that is heaven for me. We dined at many great restaurants. Wacky Wahoo was one of our favorites. We had the grouper with fettucini alfredo. This was not your typical creamy alfredo sauce but more of a olive oil and spices. It was to die for. We will be visiting again next year. We had steak at Daniel's is was just really tasty. Italian food at Gianni's, mexican food at Iguana Cantina and pizza at Tomato Charlie's. Breakfast at Salt and Pepper is always good. I especially enjoy the fresh squeezed orange juice.
We visited the casinos and donated a little money. You have to throw away a little on vacation. It is nice to be able to walk to the casinos from Playa Linda. We love our time at Playa Linda. It is perfect for us. We will be staying two weeks next year. It has all the elements we are interested in. We have a nice room on the 4th floor overlooking the beach and pool. Just grand. We did the tour with Bully which met all of our expectations and then some. He took us to the Bright bakery and that was fun. He took us to most of the places which were mentioned in a previous Aruba story. He is quite a kind gentleman. We look forward to seeing him next year. We also did the sunset catamaran sail with Albert on the Black Pearl. My sister in law got to snorkel for the first time. She really enjoyed it. We were disappointed that Joanne could not be with us. We did have a great time. We traveled on American Airlines and I must say I was quite pleased. We had a few little delays but nothing major. My husband made arrangements for wheelchair assistance for his sister and they could not have provided better service. We were able to bypass all the long lines at the airport. The lines in Aruba arriving and departing were out of sight. We usually have a 2:30 flight out on Sunday I may have to revisit this time or stay another day. Thanks for all the great information I have gained from this forum our trip was a little better this year. Each time I lean something new and I thank you all for this. I have purchased my travel insurance to next year and I am awaiting the time when AA opens up for July 2017. I hope all of you enjoy the rest of your summer. It has been especially hot in Ohio.

Sounds like a great trip Sue. It is so true each trip to Aruba seems to get better and better, never gets old or boring. I know each trip we count our blessings and really appreciate the chance to return. Happy to hear American Airlines treated you all well, this is our airline as well since USAir is no longer. We usually depart Aruba for a 2:30 Saturday flight, not too bad have never left on a Sunday. Sounds like Bully has been busy with his personal tours lately, good for him and his lucky passengers. Thanks for the report, stay cool. We too have had terrible heat, like Aruba without the cool and easy breezes here in Mass.

Sue, I'm glad you like Playa Linda as much as we did. It's really a great place to stay.
How was Iguana Cantina? We started off going every trip but have missed the last couple.
7 trips in and still finding things to love. #8 will be great in November!

We actually ate there the two times we have been in Aruba. The food is not bad. We usually have the burito and it is large (12 inches) I believe and we split it. We like to go a little later and get a table to overlook the fountain with lights and some music. Try it I think you will like it.
