We completed our 9th trip to this peaceful island at the end of June. It was the first trip for my wife's children,19 & 21. I must admit we were concerned about keeping them occupied for 7 days on the island...in the end we had nothing to fear!
With perfect weather every day they had a wonderful time. We gave them a workout climbing the stairs to the top of Mt. Haystack...they made it half way while Pat and I, the old folks, made it to the summit.
We have a timeshare at the Surf Club which is always enjoyable...nice pool, lazy river, and spectacular beach.
A midweek tour of the National Park was exciting for our daughter who is an ammeter photographer? The scenery is unbelievable and such a contrast with the resort area.
Dinner at El Gauchos, Pinchos, Smokey joe's, as well as casual dinning at and near the resort. All god.
Highlight for my daughter was the Aruba Film Festival. Went by the Red Carpet and she started talking with a young Aruban actress. The young lady could not be nicer and spent at least an hour explaining her acting experience to Samantha. She was a model example of the Aruban people, friendly, welcoming, and patient with a star struck fan.
Took one of the submarine tours for the first time. Very nice couple of hours, plenty of sights to see and worth the trip.
Will be back in June...gave our other timeshare week to my wife's niece who is getting marked in a couple of weeks. I am sure they will become Arubaholics like so many others.
