hope that the contractors are doing a great job and not interefering with your vacation too much.
but, when things need to get done, they gotta get done.

yes indeed, eating is just sometimes functional...i would prefer functional eating to be at home

your guests will be going home today?

So... a bit of a scramble for our friends contacting people back in Toronto that they'd been delayed a day. Nothing a pitcher of pina coladas didn't solve.

An "extra" day by the pool... we were fretting a little as we need to get contractors into The Manse to do some work and were waiting until the guests left but onwards...

We ended up winging it and going to Bingo's. It wasn't great: both service and food were off and we didn't have the energy to get into it with the manager so we just left. It's not that anything was tremendously wrong but, when you've been hitting some of the restaurants we've gone to on this trip, it definitely felt less than stellar. Oh well... sometimes eating is just functional.

Workers all around so just a brief post today.

[QUOTE=Been there once prior to a Kukoo Kanukoo. The venue is beautiful. I had the ribs which were surprisingly good. Gonna try to make it there this trip but not sure how we'll fit it in.[/QUOTE]

I have to ask. What in the world is a Kukoo Kanukoo, and where do I sign up?

Kukoo Kanukoo is a party bus. They pick you up at the hotel and drive around the island making stops at bars. People love it.

Oh, nice! Looks like a blast. That said, not sure that a party bus is for us. A few drinks at Bugaloe is more our 'scene.' We used to be young and with it. Then we had a baby and started going to bed at 8:30 every night.

Even 20 Years ago the party bus was not really my scene, now I would have to be paid big money to endure it, lol. That said, people love it- the drivers are great from what I hear.

it is similar to white russian flu.

never ever do the kukoo tour on the evening before flying home.

They better be great drivers. Get all boozed up and then go plowing across the landscape on a bus...LOL.

That sounds like really good advice, actually. As someone who has been sick on a flight before (I had a stomach virus on a flight from JFK to Rome, talk about excruciating) I can tell you that's not something I'd ever want to endure again.

I am disappointed! I would have thought you would have a battery powered blender....Or some sort of device to connect to your phone for power!
