    Day 10

Uh-oh... double digits... we're getting close to the end.

There's been a lot posted about the weather but we did manage to get out and drive around a bit. We hit the "Do It Center" for more of the never-ending house needs and then "Ling's" to look for some staples in case we got trapped in for the night (we had a reservation at "Kitchen Table" but The Spouse wasn't banking on it).

One thing about "Ling's" versus "Superfood": Ling's is NOT even close on the prepared foods relative to SuperFood... I'm not sure if it's presentation or actual product but SF is winning hands down. Their barbecue meat selection alone is far and above anything else.

We were sent on a detour on the way back to The Manse as everything north of Superfood was flooded out. So we schlepped down Sav-A-Lot road over to Caya Franz Figueroa and headed up north to get back home. Some parts of the island are bone dry while others are under lakes. "Tat Fat" must be completely flooded as they closed the service road in front of it. Choose location wisely!

Back at The Manse, we squeezed in some pool time as the sun had peeked through. The Neighbour joined us and offered to drive us to "Kitchen Table"... very nice!

As we were getting out the door to leave, she said, "I'm actually not taking you." She then opened the door and, much to my surprise, there was a stretch limo out front that The Spouse had arranged for the night out - it was my fiftieth birthday! Woo-hoo!

A great time at "Kitchen Table" and a little too much champagne. I'm scream-whispering at myself to stop typing this so loud.

Birthdays in Aruba are the best!

cool, a stretch limo is always fun

the road that "tat fat" is on, runs parallel with the highway.
is it near orlange plaza (where red fish is)?

Happy Birthday! Sounds like a perfect night. How nice of the spouse to order the limo. I made hubby walk to Chalet Suisse for his birthday dinner. I know how you feel when you see those double digits on your posts. Vacation flies by so quickly. I hope that the rains stops soon and the breezes return.
