I feel your pain with cleaning tiles, our entire house here in Texas is tiled. Besides a vacuum machine, I also use a Haan steam cleaner to sanitize the floors. I like that much better than a mop and bucket.
Is the camera crew already on the island?
Good luck with your hunt of a vacuum.
But more important: Enjoy your stay!
Thanks for the list of appliance dealers... We'll check some of them out.
Sounds like a light weight vacuum should be on the packing list for your next trip! I don't think I've ever seen or heard a vacuum at the places we've stayed. Maybe ask a carpeted restaurant or casino?
Quick post: we're spending entire days filming the HGTV show and are completely wiped out at the end of the day - to the point where we had Pizza Hut for dinner the other night. So, yeah, feeling pretty gross after that. But we made dinner on the barbecue the second day of filming and had some nice wine. I can't complain - the weather offsets any exhaustion and the filming is a lot of fun...
Wait until you see what they had us try...LOL!!
Looking forward to dinners at "Kitchen Table by White" and "Wilhelmina" this week!
We finished filming with the HGTV crew - it was a lot of fun and made for a VERY different kind of vacation. Lots of activities we may not have been exposed to otherwise.
Dinner at "The Kitchen Table" (Culinary) which was spectacular.
We found a vacuum! AMC Unicon to the rescue with the tiniest Panasonic we've ever seen... we'll see how it holds up under the weight of Caribbean dust.
It's extremely dusty on the island right now - I've had to rinse the car off a few times over the past week and a half because the dust on the back window was thick enough to block the view! The island definitely needs some rain.
My posts are short because we can't talk about anything on the show! Sorry!
