I'm surprised some entrepreneurs haven't developed tours to the dump....
youve got the water desal plant, the brewery why not add the dump, heck, add baby beach too....
drink beer, water education , dump and swim all in a day....

Good question, Tracey - we were just talking about that yesterday.

For now, as we're coming down sporadically, we'll continue to rent. We'll probably buy a beater when we're down on a more semi-permanent basis.

Or maybe a miracle will happen and car2go will start a program in Aruba!!

    That would be awesome.

here in florida, many of the "snowbirds" lease their cars.

they put down a down payment of a couple of thousand $, choose the progam with miles of 12K or less per year.
and their monthly payment is less than $200 p month.
for the 6 mos that they are not here, the car sits garaged.

i wonder if any of the dealerships on aruba have lease programs?

    We'll definitely find out.

The Aruba rental car companies apparently have auctions on a regular basis - we're going to investigate that option as well.

Our neighbour told us that some of the rental car companies have long-term (six months) rates that are quite attractive.

    So... we're wrapping it up.

A mad dash and lots of excitement in the last few days to get things settled before we split.

    Our first power outage!

    Wilhelmina's!

I'm definitely scheduling a fantastic dinner on the last night of every trip from now on. It's a great way to take things out with a bang.

I was looking back at some of the posts and they definitely aren't as verbose as I tend to usually be (you're welcome! LOL) but I'll be back in form on the next trip.

I didn't post any pictures this time - I'm leaning toward a mindset that food should be experienced rather than viewed BUT it was hard not to post pics of Kitchen Table: the presentation was stunning.

If anybody would like pics of anything (that we have), I can PM them to you. Mostly food and restaurant interiors. We can't send any pics from the filming until after the episode airs.

Thanks for reading! As always, it was a lot of fun but very different this time... a great kind of hectic.

You know what's the best part? We barely have to pack anything!!!

    Back soon!

Great reports! It's a shame that you're just settled in and time to leave, but there's always next time and in your home! Wondering how the daily activities will change as more frequent and extended times arrive, as that's our game plan too. Thank you again. Your input has been invaluable.

Thank you for sharing your excitement with us! Despite you have to hold back on your filming experience. But, the best is till to come!

As we got rained in well from hurricane Patricia, I stayed a little longer in bed and let endless pictures run through my mind about the many possibilities on the special adventures you experienced while filming.
