Last night we enjoyed a fantastic meal at Screaming Eagle.... not in the beds but on the terrace. DW had the swordfish special and I loved the peppered tenderloin. Service was A, Food A and atmosphere an A-. This was our last night dinner and wanted something nice for DW and this place delivered. A bit pricey.... but as long as I get what I pay for, I'm OK with it!
After dinner and getting DW back to the room, I spent my last night at Glitz until after 2 in the morning and had a great run at blackjack and a wash at video poker. Played with a great guy that lives a coupla towns over from me. Finished the vacation well within the limits of my 'play budget' but still in the red by a bit. Additionally, I have a free dinner at Buccaneer comped for next year and almost enough points for another dinner on my player's account.
Breakfast at Mango's this morning, packed and left AM for the airport at 10. I have no problem being early and a 1 PM flight doesn't allow that much opportunity to do much of anything. Check in was a breeze and we were at the gate by 11. We didn't encounter a line with more than 5 people during the entire process..... I love weekday travel....! We boarded on time and touched down in Boston fully 30 minutes early. Monte got to the curb moments after we got outside with bags and the drive home took another hour.
Really glad we switched to Eagle Beach this year..... kinda neat to have a choice of front row palapas every single day. More thoughts on our trip tomorrow... gotta get outta my funk about not being in Aruba.
Glad you and your lovely wife made it home safely. Looking forward to reading more of your stories, recollections, comments, experiences, adventures, thoughts, advices etc. etc... In other words: don't hold back, I'm having withdrawal symptoms already!
Thanks so much for taking us along on your trip with your great reports. Nice to hear that the law couple of casino nights brought wins. I guess I'll have to pick up the baton and try for the elusive video poker royal flush when I head back to Aruba in five months.
