Eagle Beach, Glitz Casino, Manchebo Beach Resort
    Overdue thoughts on our trip.

Absolutely loved Eagle Beach and the Amsterdam Manor. Next year will be a repeat for Eagle Beach, but might be Manchebo. Researching now.... and will not go back to Palm Beach even though we always loved it and the Radisson.

The things I missed most about Palm Beach were the Radisson people we always enjoyed and the quick walks to Bugaloe and Salt and Pepper for lunch. I also missed the Radisson Casino.... but quickly found a favorite seat at the Glitz. I did not miss all the night time activity with all of the vendors and carts and cheap wares in the high rise area.

What I loved most about AM was the beach, lack of crowds and a front row palapa daily.... just beautiful. The staff at AM were even better than the Rad. We loved the quaintness of the hotel and the grounds. I liked that the Glitz casino was only a short (safe) walk up the street. I really enjoyed the lack of noise from all the water sports that are available on Palm Beach. DW loved the room and the bed was super comfy.

What I didn't like at AM was all the flies during the day at the beach bar and Mangos (never a bother closer to the ocean). Hope that was not a regular thing for summer. I actually passed on lunch a few days because of the flies. Although there were too many kids for my taste, they really weren't a bother.

We broke a couple of traditions. We didn't have a welcome Aruba Ariba toast on the beach but enjoyed champagne and Amstel Brights in the room. We only did one happy hour, but did enjoy 'home made' drinks on the beach a few times. Actually never did have an Aruba Ariba! We also chose Screaming Eagle for our last night dinner rather than the usual Sunset Grille. Loved SEagle and it was comparable to the SGrille but I do like the view of the Radisson grounds at night from the SGrille better.

This was the trip I enjoyed the most of all our visits to Aruba.... and I think DW did too. We tried 6 restaurants that were new to us with Quinta del Carmen being a real highlight. Of course, we also tried Eagle Beach..... did I ever say how much I love Eagle Beach.....?

Thanks for letting me share my trip reports and thoughts with you....!
