We too loved Amadeus. From our review

Amadeus was one of the highlights for “new found places” for us out of all of our dinners while on the island.

Besides the serene ambiance of the restaurant, the soothing classical music was a nice compliment to the 17th century décor. Dd, a fledgling musician, loved the Mozart theme and we all loved the Austrian cuisine. This restaurant on the island of Aruba, of all places, is definitely a refreshing change of fare.

The quality of the food and service were even more remarkable! Frank was an attentive, but not overbearing host. Without doubt try his blended liquor, the
Lost Symphony. It is a unique and delectable blend of Cocoa, Vanilla and Almond.

Appetizers-- Escargot, Coconut Breaded Shrimp, Austrian Goulash Soup
Entrees-- Lobster Newburgh, Beef Stroganoff, Braised Beef Steak
Dessert-- Sacher Torte, Fresh Strawberries, Chocolate gelato sundae

    Today, still no breeze.
Very oppressive..........weather similar to FLA (in august)
Spent most of the morning/early afternoon @ baby beach......saw a barracuda YIKES.
Mid/late afternoon bobbed around the ocean at eagle beach.
    Ate dinner "in" tonight.
Not much else to say...........maybe tomorrow there will be a few more clouds and breezes.

Kent - you have to try Amadeus! We've been going there since they first opened a couple of years ago and it's one of our favorite spots. The owners are great, service is great and food is awesome. We will sometimes just pop in at night, too, for an after dinner drink since it's so cozy and welcoming there.

We have lost track of time and every so often we have to ask each other the day and date.

The tradewinds arrived back last night. I was sitting out on the patio at about 11 pm skypeing with someone and felt the wind begin!

So for about 5 days we had dead air.
It was uncomfortable (like florida in august).
The only part that was inconvenient about the lack of winds was we could not really lay out in the sun.......so we stayed in the water. Lots of time in the ocean and pool sitting on noodles!

So, it is friday and the winds are back.
Got a bit sandblasted on the beach today.

Ocean water at Eagle beach per my pool thermometer is 85.
Pool water temp at LaCabana is 86.

We drove over to Noord today and saw a number of homes with roof damage, St Anne roof damage and lots of cactus and tree damage.

Here in Aruba, they are calling it a tornado although others are classifying it as a "downdraft".

    Dinner tonight at Promenade.
    Haven't been there in years.
Tomorrow, planning to catch up with member MATTALO for a cold beverage and a hello.
