    andrea and paul in aruba

    Andrea,

Glad you arrived safely. Back since Tuesday night and having Aruba withdrawal! Did not write a special trip report yet, but wanted everyone to know that the sea was pretty rough the whole time we stayed down in the Divi, Casa del Mar area. Could it have been because of the earthquake? Hope the sea has calmed down for swimming. If you get down to the Tamajrin one evening, my dear friend Camala of many many years is the night manager at Gingers Restaurant at the Tam. She is a sweetheart, so if you get a chance to go over to the Tam in the evening, please send our love from Karen and Aaron Lutzker. Have a wonderful time with Paul.
    Best regards,
    Karen

Weather related...high pressure vs. cold front...more info than you care to know. Suffice to say "Almost clear to partly cloudy and breezy."

How was security at the airport departing Boston?
Did they search your carry ons and do a pat down?

    i am backtracking a bit.
thursday at logan we saw NO difference than any other time flying out of boston post 911
    no pat downs
    no frisks
    same old same old

today, started to listen to my audiobook "Lovely Bones" on my ipod
    but, listening today was difficult
too many hellos and welcome backs
lots of things that pulled me away from the book on ipod

    dinner tonight we ate in.
crab cakes (made at home and frozen)
and chicken cesar salad (sesame chicken from home)

went to the marriott and we each made $25 last 55 minutes in a penny machine

we hope to see one of our aruba.com community friends tomorrow
    maybe another one on sunday

we had hoped to snorkel today with kent, but we could not get it together in time to commit to that.
he will be back on island early next week . i think he has a special family activty this weekend.

karen henry, tom's wife left the island yesterday.
apparently the grown kids came down on wed or thursday and the funeral home folks here were able to do what they do and they all flew back to michigan.

if folks want to send a card, pm me for instruction.
if folks want to make a donation to the animals of aruba in tom henry's memory contact me too and i will put you in touch with cheryl and kathy for further instruction.

    weather delightful
    winds strong
    pool and ocean water 79
swam in ocean 20 minutes and did water aerobics for 45.

had to get a new aruba phone today

    i highly recommend charles' fastphones

my old setar phone circa 2004 finally was deactivated and an updgrade was necessary.

NO miami milk to be found anywhere (macarthur or borden)
we brought a gallon from home.
there was a small delivery to lings today,we got 1/2 gallon and that is in the freezer now.
next delivery on thurs or friday due to holidays mon and tue.
fresh dairy and fresh produce are going to be a hard to get item for the next few days.

so this was my jan 22 report.
we lead a quiet, boring life even in aruba.
