Andrea, you crack me up. We packed my daughters crocheting supplies today. She is getting me "hooked" again! Looking forward to meeting you next week. I still have not heard back from Bully, emailed him at his hotmail account too. Any other suggestions or just wing it when we get there at 10:45 PM?.

FYI - I am conceal and carry and I would suggest we have roast chicken on Monday, however, Roosters can be a bit tough! Plus, I would probably never make it on the plane if I was packin'

all i can say about transportation is that when you arrive at 10:45. there will be a line up of taxis waiting ready to take you to your resort! so winging it is an option.
all taxis charge the same fares! (government regulated)

Andrea, sounds like you two are having a blast, except for you noisy neighbor! Maybe you could put out a trail of corn meal to someone else's house way down the street!

Andrea, glad to know you are in paradise even with your noisy neighbor....did I read you were staying at Caribbean Palm Village ??? We did go to visit my sis-in-law there and was quite surprised at how nice AND clean the rooms were....pools scared me a little...murky, but that may have been due to all the rain.
Have a wonderful time even with the rain and mosquitos......Hope Santa is good to you !!!!

    Mon 13th

weather terrific spent the morning at eagle beach and the water and waves were delightful.
early afternoon we were poolside at our resort.

5 pm happy hour @ AM beach bar.
    meet and greet
    Stella and Bill
Jen Again, her hubby and friends
Mark 68 and baby Buster. Love that dog.
    Paul and me.
Had a nice time, drank too much and boy was it muggy.

went back to Buster's for cokes and a visit with some of the Canadian crowd friend's of Stella and Bill.
didn't stay too long as we were wiped and i was having a full blown HOT FLASH that was never ending.

at 10pm paul said "did we eat dinner?" nope. hahahahah we actually missed a meal! now that's a first.

    --------------------------

    tuesday 14th

spent part of the morning running a couple of errands and catching up with a lady i know.
then back to eagle beach for a few hrs. "paul, where's the sunblock?"
argh, back in the timeshare unit!

so we sucked it up without our #30 but did have hat/visor.
looked for Jenn Again at Lacabana.
visited a few folks at lacabana, jumped in the pool and eventually back here to our resort. (not quite pool hopping, we are lacabana owners)

dinner......amstel brights, french baguettes, brie with honey and walnuts at the beach

now it is almost bedtime sunned out and a little crisp from no sunblock .

    caribbean palm village (interval certificate)

re: the caribbean palm village in noord.
ok, the rooster needs to be put to death.
and he is about 300yds from the resort in a neighborhood across the street.

but and i mean BUT........i would not let that hunk of feathered tough poultry stop me from staying here again.

    POSITIVES-
    clean,
    comfortable,
tons of security- when we park in their lot we are asked to show our parking pass to the security person positioned in the lot, the entire resort is "walled in" and there are always security folks patrolling........not because of the crime rate but because the owners want it and feel much more comfortable with out any neighborhood kids coming in to pool hop.
nice pools.....very well kept and clean.
staff that address you by name and also asked if we preferred m/m james or andrea and paul.
free wifi available throughout entire resort..on balconies, patios and poolside.
frequent shuttles to palm beach with free lounges to use at MOOMBA.
    nice gym
    complete activities schedule
    few children (big smile)
200 yds from st ann's catholic church
1/2 mile from ladelizza italian bakery (paul just bought 2 dozen croissants, 4 slices of breakfast pizza and 3 loves of italian bread $9....our freezer is well stocked now on carbs.

if you can live with being a mile from the beach this IS a great place.

    Wed 15th

We drove and drove this morning looking for either
    a) good snorkeling spot
    b) beach time
what we found today were HUGE monstrous waves/surf that allowed for NO shore snorkeling all the way from Baby Beach to Arashi area including Spanish Lagoon area.......even DePalm Island has NO snorkeling or underwater activities today.

stopped at eagle beach to hang out and take a few dunks but it was IMPOSSIBLE to get into the water due to the waves.

same waves and difficulties at palm beach near MOOMBAS.
Walked the beach at Marriott and there is MUCH work to be done to repair mother nature's fury these past couple of months.

abc and cdm beach has much damage and has some new rock seawall to help out the erosion. we counted 5 palapas out of commission at abc.

Weather is hot, some sun, little breeze downpours b4 dawn and the mosquitos are as plentiful as one can imagine.

Dinner was take out from Hot TakeAway :-)
picked it up earlier and warmed it up for dinner.

Visited the Alhambra and Paul was on his way to making a donation and then hit a penny machine for $100. so that is now casino money for tomorrow evening after COOKS for dinner.

hoping to catch up with jenn again tomorrow at lacabana.
it is our turn to buy a round of drinks!
