    april 18- may 2

    first trip report, quick review.
departed rochester new york, united, connected philadelphia.
have to admit aa first class seats were much roomier than other airlines,
only 3 rows.. their vodka being served titos.. yea..

arrived 12;00 that was nice, breezed thru customs.
Picked up rental car from adolph at ace car rental, only car rental company for me.

Strange, seemed like months passed since our last departure. jan 17.. lol. truly..
Never made the beach that day, spent the afternoon with friends and cocktails.
The regular april crew were all present, when anyone is missing you always think somethings wrong..

First night dinner at azzurro, love the place.
The days consisted of pretty much normal routine, sitting at my palapa. from 8-6;30..
breakfast, scotts brats and our resort.
lunch, scotts, bugaloes and our hotel

dinners, azzurro, 3x... daniels 3x,.. old man and sea, without question the most romantic on the island.
casa tua with scott and leslie from scotts brats, great friends.
Friends since their 3rd day of opening. Couple nights with friends home and resort..

The weather was impeccable, no rain.. winds were perfect..
Respectfully attended 2 funerals, known these people over 20 years, can't imagine not showing them that respect, don't use the
term family unless you back it up!

Spent an evening at fisherman huts, eating, drinking and dominoes.. maybe my favorite..
Quite honestly 2 weeks limits our ability spending time with friends.

On our departure saturday, the main road was closed, the king was on the island.
weird everything went SMOOTH, said our goodbys, breezed thru the back roads, drop off rental
no line with delta business class and breezed thru customs in record time, on saturday!!

United cancelled their flight to chicago, why would customs let these people thru?
where do you place 150 passengers??
what's even more boggling, our flight had many empty seats...

well enough of my rambling, counting down on our return june 17.

    thanks for sharing ricky59!!

    i enjoyed it all

what do you normally order at azzurro?

i agree with you about spening time with friends when you have just 2 short weeks.
it is tough to fit it all in.
this trip that we have upcoming, we are already booked and still are going to miss out on a few.

    again, thanks for sharing!

Thanks guys, had a wonderful stay as always.

Andrea, I order the seafood platter, it's not on the menu, for appetizer!!!
calamari, jumbo shrimp and clams.. very Large dish... ask dennis or kadeem if you want to order this dish..

Main course- veal shank, large and cuts with a fork.. reminds me when my mother would add it with soup...
or macaroni[pasta], we call all pasta macaroni, with garlic, oil, anchovies. you could add jumbo shrimp??
    my favorite way eating macaroni...
