    Arrival yesterday

We arrived just before 4:00 yesterday and got through the airport the fastest ever. No lines anywhere! We had to wait about 5 minutes for the luggage (just time enough to grab a bottle of our favorite adult beverage at duty free). We picked up a sim card at digicell (no one in line there either) and grabbed a taxi (also no line) to the Renaissance. I tied to get the driver to comment on the elections but he was not talkative. I was expecting traffic, but no problems there either. We have one of the newly renovated rooms overlooking the Marina, and they are very nice. Downtown was dead last night with the restaurants mostly closed so we grabbed a pizza a Blue in the hotel. The casino was serving drinks and we donated a little. Gotta go, the island is calling us.
If you put some html here, you could create a countdown ticker, but we don't care, we're going in May 2018! Yay!

i am glad that you did not get tied up in any "political campaign traffic"
i wonder why the driver was tight lipped.
most folks are very talkative and readily express their opinions....and quite different than in the usa.......folks don't seem to be as argumentative and ugly about political discussions in aruba

enjoy your time and thanks for taking time from your stay to tell us "your story"
