Arrived safely yesterday courtesy of American Airlines. Fantastic flights, excellent landings. Got the shack open and Tux, the little stray cat who lingers nearby, came in for some chow.

Enjoyed more than a few at Charlie's and having a supper this evening at the Sultan. Looking forward to catching up with Kent and many others during this sojourn.

Bon dia and don't forget the sunscreen.

Sultan for supper. Good as ever. Took a drive around the island earlier in the day. Things looking good. Definitely more dry than before, but still greener than in years past. Had a few at Charlie's in San Nicolaas. The Discovery Channel sent a crew in for a piece about the best of the Caribbean.

All in all, a good start.

Todays "Aruba Today" had an article about them filming at Flying Fishbone and Screaming Eagle.

After the Hollywood, took a break from big food. Stocked the larder courtesy of Ling's then went to Price Smart for giant sized versions of the regular stuff at good prices.

Went for a ride around some old haunts. Saw some improvements to roads, cleanups at several locations underway, and plenty of people enjoying themselves at the beaches and on the strip in the evening.

Gearing up for full power starting tomorrow: writing, imbibing, and interfacing with the locals and fellow semi-permanent visitors.
