Thanks for your report. We bought a one bedroom time share last year and have not been able to use it yet. (2011 for sure)
We rented it out this year for 1800.00 for two people for the week in September. How was your wait to check in? is the long pants enforced at the door? is that for all the restaurants? were the hallways noisy? (since they were not carpeted) The occidental does not offer free WI-Fi in the time share units? we were told it was. |

We rented it out this year for 1800.00 for two people for the week in September. How was your wait to check in? Our wait was "zero" but that may have been because we were the first flight to land after the airport was closed. They have a special time share check in area. is the long pants enforced at the door? is that for all the restaurants? The long pants is enforced at the door of the restaurants. One person had just arrived and was dressed very nicely, but had shorts on. I overheard the conversation about the dresscode. He had to get special permission to eat with shorts. All restaurants need long pants except the Carribean Restaurant and the Buffet. were the hallways noisy? (since they were not carpeted) I did not hear any foot steps in the hallways, but since we were in the oceanfront unit, noone really ever got to the end of the hallway. The one thing that you do hear is the doors slam. You really need to close them hard to get them to close. When i would leave at night and the kids were sleeping (to go to the casino), i would actually key the door so that I could close it from outside without making any noise. The occidental does not offer free WI-Fi in the time share units? we were told it was. We had to pay, was $59 for the week (only one device tho, which I was upset about, cause i travel with multiple items, yes i am a geek). There is free internet in the business center that I was told was open 24 hrs. Maybe the Royal Club gets free I-net.

$59 for a week is an obscenely high price.

i have been places that are $10-$12 a day too.
but the profit margin is hugely high imo for wireless access in aruba at any of the resorts, anything over $35 is high.
