Enjoying my home away from home....the warm breeze, water, and people....just love it here...Building sandcastle later this afternoon if all goes well on Eagle beach accross PBV....

Went downtown last night for an expresso coffee, and could not believe the ghost town. Nothing opened except Padlock, no one walking around .....plenty of parking .... too bad that everything moved to the highrise area...wish the goverment would give some sort of insentive to bring it back to life....have to check on it during the day ...

some/many downtown business are hurting badly due to the economy AND due to the expansion explosion of businesses up in the palm beach/hi rise area.

during the day you will see an increase of people/tourists.
when a cruise ship is in, the downtown is actually quite congested.

but, when the sun goes down it gets so very quiet.

Is the Mambo Jambo bar still open? I liked to go dancing there, very local.

OOh man, that's too bad. I really liked it down there, the mood was always great and I loved just sitting and watching everyone just walk or drive by. Maybe it's only open weekends? *crossing fingers*

sad that the downtown area is not hopping like it used to be...was always great to walk around in the evening as see all the people dancing above or hanging on the balconies...hopefully the restoration projects will bring back some night life....
