Aruba Oct 7 to ....

Arrived via Delta on the 7th from Detroit, Mi Six travelers(4 Cdn 2 USA) staying at a villa in Noord. Flight was uneventful and we picked up our car off to the villa. Met our hosts and sent the guys to do the grocery run at Ling's.Dinner at Salt & Pepper. Next day spent around the pool with cocktails fairly early in the morning until late that night. We have alternated between Palm Beach and the villa pool every other day. Since our arrival, rained overnight once and have had beautiful weather every day since.
This trip was to kick back and enjoy the company of our friends.
Restaurants so far:
Salt & Pepper, Casa Tua, Flying Fishbone, Madame Jeanette's, Iguana Cantina, Smokey Joes, Pelican Nest at the Pier. We are absolutely enjoying our time here. All of our guests have left as of today and we will be here until Oct 30. Planning on continuing my snorkel experience at Malmok and Arashi beach as well as Baby Beach.

We have been down to Rodgers, Malmok and Palm Beach. Afternoon cruise with "Mi Dushi", best seat is on the ropes in the front.

Stay tuned.

The day was warm and sunny for the most part. The current weather system has not bothered Aruba in the least. Spent the day at Palm Beach and met some fellow Canadians. Tried my luck at Bingo and HI Casino, came out with what I started, not bad but always hope for better. Off to Eagle Beach tomorrow and drinks at Cafe 080.

Today is our last morning in Aruba. The past week we have spent time on Eagle Beach at the Amsterdam manor area. The change from Palm Beach is extreme. Sand and beach that never ends, water and ocean bed soft and clear. We love both areas and really enjoyed Eagle. Each time we stay outside the hotel zone, we have new experiences. A local hang out "Cafe 080" was great, met our Villa host for drinks and conversation. Most of our meals we prepared at the villa but also enjoyed La Scala a restaurant above the Paseo Herencia Mall at Palm Beach. Food was very good and the staff friendly. La Cabana Happy Hour always brings great music and opportunities to make new friends with other travelers. We just don't seem to stay to ourselves a conversation is always started and the story telling begins of our experience's on Aruba. We were fortunate to run into a couple from Alaska that returns to Aruba the same time as us each year. Congrats to them on the purchase of a house in Palm Beach.

Tried my hardest to write in the sand "Aruba 2010" for my picture album, but the water kept coming over and washing it away. Finally succeeded at Arashi Beach on the 4th try.Already missing my opportunity for more sun, but it is time to leave our Island home.
