Glad you are liking the Trop, and yes it is under rated. Been to many 5 star hotels and the staff wasn't half as nice as the Trop. Yes I would go back.
What floor are you on? Good view of the pool or anything?
If you rent a grill please tell the security gal Louise we said "hello" she was one of the many many nice staff members.

Sounds like you are off to a great start. Guess Paul won because he is the birthday boy, it is only fair I just had tomato soup for supper I really have to try both the egg roll and soup at Hung Paradise, tried to go last year but they were closed mid afternoon for an hour or so. Hope the breeze continues to come back for you and looking forward to hearing more casino wins, have fun!

A full day of dentist, beach, italian dinner, alhambra casino

Today was busy (busy by our standards)
We had to run to the dentist for our cleanings, exams etc..
Then back to the Mio store for tech support. (password problems)
Stopped at subway for a turkey sub...and the dope that i am, i still tracked my weight watcher points.
Over to Eagle Beach for some afternoon sun, swim, but the clouds rolled in and the breeze picked up, so that was not terrific not having the sun, but the breeze was good!

Dinner tonight (and I will copy this to the Culinary category)
Terrazza Italiana 2 Paradise Beach Villas
    2 words Awesomely delicious.

We each had a light beer....and i am not much of a beer drinker, but tonight i wanted one.
Dinner consisted each of us with a greek salad and each of us with beef lasagna.
Salad and lasagna were terrific, the service could have been a bit speedier, but we were in no rush.
the lasagna noodles were home made and very light.
Typically italian, pasta, meat etc are heavy meals. this was not.

    We loved it.

The restaurant is on the 3rd floor of Paradise Beach Villas overlooking the beach.
    Nice sunset.
If you do not want to hoof it up the 3 flights there is an elevator..go thru the lobby, past the pool, elevator on the right.

    Spectacular sunset view.

I give this place an A-.
If the wait staff were speedier i would have given an A.

Gratuity not included on the bill.

Alhambra casino kept us busy for only 45 minutes.
We left "even" on the night.

To reflexions beach club tomorrow (used to be called NIKKY Beach)

Thanks for the report. Sounds like a very nice day. Any night where the casino does not take your cash is a win in my book. I am glad to see someone watches what they eat in Aruba, I just lost the 10 lbs I gained on my last two trips while there, lol. Enjoy the day.

Thanks guys for your travel blog. So cool you found a great price for dental work. Love the restaurant tips too. You just can't beat this forum. If you happen to be by ABC, please let us know the beach condition. I know some forum members hit Riccardo's or Matthews by ABC. Don't go out of your way. Either way we will be there early December. The weather calls for rain here in Jersey. It gets dark so early here now. We wake up to darkness too. Enjoy the sunshine. We miss it much. Have fun and keep posting. A big cheers to the birthday boy. Please give us an Aruba toast while you are there.

Your dinner sounds very yummy. What no ice cream after Allambro visit? Every year you post about your dentist visits it totally amazes me with the prices. I cannot even tell you the $$$ I have spent over the last 2-3 weeks at my dentist, not good. I am guessing you book your appointments ahead of your trip? Glad to hear the breezes are back and hopefully today will have some sunshine to go along with the breezes. You must of had that light beer on my behalf, thanks

Nov 3 Thursday Reflexion Beach Bar and Beach day

Gotta be quick as our plate is full of running around and socializing.
    Vacation is exhausting.

We spent the better part of the day at the beach next door to Barefoot restaurant @ Reflexions Beach/bar and Restaurant.

2 lounges with comfortable padding, table, umbrella.
Front row, beautiful and now hurrying to eagle beach to get a front row.
We spent most of the time floating.
We floated, napped, floated some more.
Our resort provides free lounges and shade, but i do not want to get up early and go grab my spot.
I think Reflexions beach will be our beach spot for the duration.

We did have a snack of mozzarella sticks and of course morning coffee w/ just a dash of kahlua
    Reflexions does it right!
We also brought a couple of sandwiches which we scarfed down like it was no tomorrow.

Our neighbors on the beach today were Mindy and Ann F.
It was nice to visit with them and catch up.
Now back here at the Trop, needing to shower and then to the Barneys for dinner in an hr.

Weather today...lots of sun, slight breezes from the southwest and hot!
I am a little pink which is unusual. Gotta UP the stuff from 15 to 30 SPF

    Will be back on later.
