Andrea Tracey is correct. But they also opened up a second location in the Paseo. It's where I believe the frozen yogurt place used to be. We went to the Paseo location this time but will go to the other one later in the week. I would say if you don't mind the music and people choose the location Tracey gave directions for, but if you want a little more a low key spot then the Paseo location will work better. It was too quiet in there for me haha
Day 3: We woke up in paradise got dressed and headed out for a long walk. Never been to Ricardo’s but had heard they had a good breakfast so we decided to walk down there. We walked from the Phoenix to the Ricardo’s and got the breakfast special for 2. Coffee, Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, Ham, Toast, Home fries and blueberry pancakes for the 2 of us and it came to $25 including service charge and some extra for tip. On our walk back we talked about how cool it would be to someday have a place in Aruba. I am fairly sure most couples who come to Aruba often have talked about this. It’s fun to dream! We quickly changed and headed down to the beach. Such a beautiful day! The winds were perfect, no rain except a passing rain cloud that lasted all of 30 seconds. We met a couple who has been coming for 30 years to Aruba! It was cool hearing some of their stories. We had sandwiches and then relaxed some more before heading up to get ready for dinner. Drove up to the light house about 6:30 and started to watch the sunset before driving to the bottom of the hill and onto the beach and watching it actually set. So beautiful watching the waves crash on the rocks, sitting in the car with the windows down and feeling like it was our own private spot. After sunset we headed off to Madame Jeannette’s for a 7:30 reservation. Madame never disappoints. It’s such a special spot! Every year I think I am going to try something new but go back and forth between the lamb and the almond grouper and never pick anything other than either of those. Tonight the Almond grouper won! My wife is not a seafood girl at all! But I got her to taste the grouper and she was surprised that she didn’t mind it. I don’t think she will be ordering it but it was a huge step for her to even try it. Amazing dinner, service, environment and the flies were not bad so A+ all around!
Since we have a car we decided to head downtown. Parked, walked around and the ended up at Blue in the renaissance and just relaxed by the pool. I am really not sure if we were there for a ½ hour or 3 hours but it was nice to just listen to the sounds of the downtown and enjoy being together. On our way back DW decided she wanted ice-cream. Nothing fancy and she was still full from dinner so we got a simple McDonalds Carmel Sundae and called it a night.
