    Back From A Wonderful Trip

Just returned from the most wonderful week! I love this time of year in Aruba. We stayed at the Surf Club. Check in was on Thurs. Got there about 5pm, and the line in the lobby was out the door. Took about an hour. Went to Moombas for dinner that night. I'm not going to bore you with my dinner selections every night because it was grouper the entire week except one night. Favorite meal of the week was Wacky Wahoo (grouper!!) and least favorite meal of the week was Azzuro's at Playa Linda. We had the spaghetti for 2 cooked in the cheese wheel for $43. Service was poor, and the food was cold. Pretty expensive for a plate of spaghetti with no sides. But the view is stunning. Also, went to Scotts Brats for breakfast and lunch, which was great!!! So happy for Scott and Leslie, they really have a gem there, and the food is great.
Weather was fantastic the entire week. I think it rained overnight once, but that's it. We had no problem getting 4 chairs together at the pool no matter what time we went, same with palapas. No problems getting those everyday also. Rented a car from Hertz this time, since my son works for them. (No family discount though because we were out of the country) I have to give a shout out and HUGE thanks to San Nic for posting your driving direction videos on youtube...we were constantly watching them and learning how to get to places. Those videos were a huge help! Thank you so much. Did a lot of snorkeling at different beaches....almost drowned in 3 feet of water at Arashi beach!! I'm such a spazzzzz!! I was in water up to my waist, and got knocked over by a wave. Trying to get up with fins on in 3 feet is almost impossible with
waves. I gave my hubby and friends a good laugh when I finally stood up out of breath! Saw amazing fish, though!!
We had free wifi in our room, but I think that's because we were on the second floor overlooking the pool in the lighthouse tower. Loved every minute of the week. Hated going to the airport to. As an added surprise, as I was going thru security, the woman looks at my ticket, and says "Congratulations, you've been selected for an extra security check. Step aside and an agent will come for you." She made it sound like I won the lottery!!! So the agent comes and gets me with gloves on! I heard my hubby say to her "can I video tape this?"
Anyway, I'm home now, it's raining and 52 degrees today, and I'm missing my favorite place on earth.
