well i just got off the phone with her and she is absolutely babbling!!!lol i am gonna give her a few hours to get home and get settled(she is still at my aunts house, my mom lives about an hour away down the shore)
she could not say enough good things about bully and mark. when she was talking about it all it was all jumbled up....so later i will call her and go thru day by day and get the run down. i do know how she cannot wait to tell everyone, including a very houghty-toughty aunt of mine(really mom's cousin but slways knew her as an aunt) how they were treated by the wonderful people of aruba!!! (you guys really went above and beyond.....thank you!)

so i will get the story---put it in cronological order and make sense of it and report back.

and mark----if she braggs to enough of her senior friends and you get a hugh senior following at busters----dont blame me!!!lol

    When are they going back?
Did they buy a timeshare or a house?

Lol. Really enjoyed following this thread nikko. FYI I would totally watch the movie that tells of their adventure to (and In) Aruba. Bully and Mark you guys are awesome! I will be sure to stop by busters during my visit to aruba. I have a mate picking me up from the airport Bully, but as I will be there for a month. I'm sure we will meet.

i am so sorry this final update has taken soo long....i had to heal. lol

mom and aunt had an amazing time and havent stopped talking about it all to anyone who will listen!! i havent talked to my aunt(speaking to a mostly deaf person, who doesnt think they are a deaf person, on the phone is just not gonna work...so this is all thru my mothers eyes....

bully was right there to meet them at the airport and took them to divi links. the room was beautiful and right by the main pool area. they really liked that and they were on the ground floor. she said the room was beautiful and was very hapy with divi and the service there. they ate at the restaurant by the front pool a few times and were happy with the food there. they also took a shuttle as far as they could and then walked across to the supermarket in front of ling and son's. i was abit surprised that my aunt, whom i was told was bit handicapped did this but my mother said she was fine and that she was amazed also. so the walk to there is doable i guess...lol
after they got stuck in aruba they moved to divi pheonix. they also loved it there, and liked being right on the beach.(mom is a beach person, aunt a pool person) said the rooms and service there was amazing also.

they had dinner at madame janette's....loved it and thought it was a beautiful place. they said the service was very good. my mom ate the bang bang shrimp and loved it---this woman does not usually like or eat warm shrimp. usually she only likes shrimp cocktail...but i have been getting her to try some shrimp dishes and she remembered i raved about this one so she ordered it. she loved it! she then had a grouper dish---i believe it was a stuffed grouper and she liked that also. so a thumbs up for madame janette's.
i also sent them to hung paradijs. they enjoyed the chinese food here and said it reminded them of the chinese food from years ago before it became so americanized. the sweet and sour was very good and not that canned red sauce most places nowdays serve. said they would eat there again.
salt & pepper---this was their favorite place. they loved being able to order small plates(tapas) and try many different things. said they got free sangria with their dinner and had a really good time with the servers. would efinately go back
gianni's---they had no problems with their reservation and really enjoyed the service here. the only thing they were a bit surprised with was the prices.(i had given her approximate prices for all the restaurants) they each had an appetizer here and split a pasta dish. she did say the food was really good but thought the pasta was very expensive. lol

they went to a few casino's and they both liked the hyatt the best. of course that is because they won a bit there...lol

other than going to church on sunday this was pretty much their first week's activities.

mom and aunt both said that the best thing about their first week was bully!! they thanked me for suggesting him and wanted me to say to anyone listening....book bully as your driver!! he was there every night when he said he would and took great care of them.(i agree, bully went above and beyond. when i had to get the new confirmation info to my mom for the move to the pheonix i e-mailed it to bully and he printed it and got it to mom.) bully, my friend, thank you!

after moving to the pheonix they said the best part of their vacation happened....they got to meet one of our own....mark. they both are still raving about how he made them feel better after the debacle of getting stuck there......mark took them to cafe capri for lunch and mom and aunt both said the food was very good. said i should tell everyone to try it. they really liked it!! he also took them to a wine tasting and gave them some of the wine to take home....they had a wonderful time there and could not believe how wonderful this complete stranger was to them....i told my mom "this is the sruba "I" know and its people, i am glad you got to see it." he then showed them were he lived and also took them to dinner at busters. mom said she really liked busters and it was a really fun place. the food was great there also.

mom and aunt said i have to let everyone know that this wonderful man made two very upset old ladies enjoy their misfortune, and realize that it really wasnt a misfortune after all. if they hadnt got stuck they would have never gotten to meet this wonderful young man. he did all of this out of sheer kindness and made them realize "life is good!" so mark, again, thank you from the bottom of my heart. hopefully my family will get to meet you in person soon!

they loved the island and met some wonderful people....they also said they would do it again!!!

I DO NOT THINK I WILL SURVIVE ANOTHER ADVENTURE OF THESE TWO......LOL
