    Thursday and Friday

Got settled in at Renaissance, and made our way to the private island....it is still heaven on earth.

Yesterday LG Smith was great....good enough that we cancelled next week's reservation at El Gaucho. Go for the sirloin....it's a "10".

Tonight was Driftwood....great staff, great menu....a very reliable place to have perfectly gooked fish at a reasonable price. Another "10".

We are really happy with our restaurant selections to date.

    Our Dining "Hot Streak" Continues

Just got back from Chalet Suisse....fantastic. Between the four of us, had chicken, grouper, duck and beef stroganoff....everyone was happy.

Chalet Suisse is one of the best restaurants on the island.

Chalet Suisse is one of our favorites. We go there every time we visit Aruba. Glad to hear your family enjoyed it.

A Lot of Deaf People Today?

The Soul Festival at Nikky Beach was really rockin and rollin last night. It was so loud (especially the bass) I doubt if anyone who was there will be able to hear anything this morning.
Thank God for Tylenol PM and Ambien!

    Thank You God

It is Sunday, and as I sit here with my coffee and Kindle I want to thank the Good Lord by posting the following:

Thank you God for my family, for making Aruba, and for giving me the ability to travel here.

    Amen.

I think Driftwood is a restaurant that everything might not be great.....so study the menu carefully and get something that would be considered a specialty of theirs. I always go for the catch of the day.

    Sunday

An all Renaissance day with morning at the Marina Tower (adult) pool and afternoon at the Ocean Suites beach. It was actually very nice there (beach).....they finally got rid of the awful seaweed that always covered the bottom of that beach and now it is just fine!

Chinese food tonight at Hung Paradise in the Seaport Mall. Always a great valus, $80 including for the four of us. I'll rate it an 8.

Another "10" day with the weather. So far, only yesterday morning had cloudiness with a few minutes of rain, otherwise it has been perfect.
