Have to stick up for Jersey just a teeny bit - we were DTS on Sunday and the water was a really pretty blue. Nothing like Aruba blue, but not as gross as I've seen it

In all fairness we go to the South Jersey beaches in Margate so I can't speak on your Jersey.

Grew up in Long Branch, NJ. Our beaches were pretty solid. It was one of those 'you have to know which beach to go to' sort of deals, though. There was one beach that nobody knew about not even a mile down from the beach that everyone always went to. I swear to you, the water there was a different shade of blue (read: less nasty) than the more crowded beach.

So back to our regularly scheduled program.

Tuesday we went down to Baby Beach and did some exploring. Hadn't been to Baby in about a year. Every time it seems to be more crowded than the last. It wasn't annoyingly overpopulated just not what it used to be. We actually had a lot of fun and plan on going back down. Did some exploring around the area... no new discoveries but fun nonetheless. On the way home we hit Urataka Pizza. I haven't tried every single pizza place on Aruba but of the ones I have tried Urataka wins and its not even really that close.

Later that evening we visited Cafe 080 for the first time. Pretty interesting place... I could see visiting there more often. Had a few beers and a huge meatball monstrosity that was more like a mini meatloaf than what I expected. After 080 we headed over to Fermin's. Fermin's was jam packed that night. I think we were the only non locals there so we went from a place where only Dutch was being spoken to a place where only Spanish and Papiamento were being spoken. Bucket of 6 ice cold Balashi Chill cost 14 dollars. If there is a cheaper bucket on the island I need to know where. We were all over that night because next we went to Bugaloe. Joyride was winding down there set when we arrived and then the Bugaloe waitress singers took over and entertained as always. They are actually pretty good especially considering its not their primary job.

Finished out the night with a trip to the taco truck. Delicious as always. I had fish tacos and she had the chicken. I probably shouldn't have gotten everything on as it covered up the taste of the fish. I will adjust accordingly.

    Coming soon

You had me at Joyride...one of my favorite things in Aruba. Sounds like a jam packed fun day!
