typically when there is a disturbance (trop storm or hurricane) north of aruba those trade winds die.
well the storm did not develop well til it was north west of aruba , hence no sucking away the breeze!

time for those troops to get their sorry butts from bed.

    wifi free?

    have fun

The breeze is amazing! No lack of winds here, it's actually rocking the laptop back & forth sitting on my lap

Free wifi in the lobby & courtyard. I can access it in our bedroom, and on the balcony - but not anywhere else in the room which is fine by me!

    Day Two

What a great relaxing do-nothing kinda day! I woke up at 2:24, went back to sleep around 3:45, but was back up at 6 bright eyed. Walked around a bit, got coffee at Dunkin downstairs, hung out on the balcony. When the kids finally got up we went down to the pool and stayed there all day long! had lunch at Pizza Bob's, Happy Hour in the pool bar which resulted in many new friends then more pool/lounge time, some life size checkers & chess and then a pizza from Pizza Bob's for dinner. The boys hung out with a new friend from Aruba. It was amazing to listen to them try to communicate and compare lives. Adrian saying how lucky the boys are that they have seen snow, the boys telling him how lucky he is to live in a place that's so warm & beautiful Then some TV time & jacuzzi time & now bed time! It's been a long tiring day of doing nothing!

Glad to hear that your first two days went well, and that Tropicana is working out pretty good so far. Your boys making friends with a local boy from Aruba and comparing where they live is a major positive indicator of the open friendliness and warmth of the Aruban people. Then again there is something about Aruba that makes people, visitors in particular more open and willing to talk and engage in conversations with those who they come in contact with during their stay on Aruba. Even language does not seem to pose that much difficulty, using whatever bits and pieces of English, Spanish and what little Papiamento that they know along with sign language, they find a way to communicate and have fun doing it.

Glad that you are enjoying the Trop... missing my pizza there and most important the lazy days..
Best vacations are those lazy days were you don't do nothing but R&R....
Thank you again for sharing and continuing to bring back happy memories to me
