Jackie, when in Aruba donuts become one of the food groups don't you know? My son has one just about every day, lol. We don't have donuts in our house typically so he eats like a pig when away and we allow it because anything goes on vacation! As far as waking up at 4am, I have a better chance of being still awake at 4am while in Aruba than actually waking up then

    Have fun today.

Pizza and Doughnuts for breakfast, the breakfast of people on Vacation and enjoying themselves. Must have been super convenient to just roll your stuff over from Tropicana to La Cabana. Current trip is sounding great!! Keep the reports coming. We all look forward to reading them.

    DAY FOUR

Started out around 4AM again, went back to bed for a little bit, back down to Dunkin for donuts & coffee - kinda a tradition to get coffee for everyone on their first morning. Very lazy morning letting the kids wake up whenever they did. FaceTimed with Brianna for a long time. She is missing us in general and a big jealous of us all being here and she's stuck at home working. I'm missing the size of the Trop room - and missing having the kitchen/living room space to myself in the mornings.

Everyone was finally up and ready around 10 so we went to the beach. Got a palapa that had already been occupied and had chairs already there for us. Spent some time on the beach & bobbing in the ocean till 3:30 - had to make it up to Pata Pata for 4pm happy hour!

My friend Franklyn did not disappoint with his awesome Aruba Aribas! Rich even had some!

Showered & got ready for dinner at Amuse Sunset Restaurant (Amuse Bistro at their new location behind the airport). It was a little rough getting there, but we found it - we had never been to Mirandi or Arubaville. also had never been to Amuse. I was thinking more West Deck feel - on a deck on the water with a casual atmosphere. I was way wrong! It is a very nice dining experience. I didn't take pic of any of the food - sorry. We had escargot, cobb salad & creamy french onion soup appetizers. Mains were Beouf Bourginon, scallops, Argentine steak with blue cheese crumbles and a port sauce, Mushroom ragout, chicken nuggets & kid's steak. The food was amazing. I loved the mushroom dish, but it needed something, maybe a veg or something to break up the heaviness of the dish. I stole a few of Rich's asparagus. problem solved.

Came back to LaCabana for ice cream at Carvel - while they ate their ice cream in the lobby, I hit Glitz for a few minutes. Up $23 and left

Came back up to the room for a great game of Rummy & watched some of the olympics and hit the sack.

I keep forgetting to tell you guys - the mosquitos are insane! I have never ever had a problem with them in Aruba. This trip they are everywhere sucking blood like crazy. They are on our faces, bites all over our arms & legs. Amuse had cans of bug spray set up on a table as you enter the restaurant. Anyone coming down soon - make sure you bring bug spray!

Glad to hear you had a great experience at Amuse. I was thinking about skipping it since we just went last trip amd you know, there are so many places to try. But with the new location I am not sure now.
7 trips in and still finding things to love. Trip #8 coming November 2017!
