Red face Fell and broke my nose at Natural Pool!

I was in Aruba for the first time in April. I had the most amazing week aside from one rather large accident. While on a jeep safari to the Natural Pool I slipped and fell face first into the rather sharp rocks. After blacking out for several minutes, I woke up in a pool of blood and several guardian angel vacationers coming to my rescue. A nice surgeon had been swimming nearby with his wife, although I can not remember their names for the life of me, I have no idea how I would have been okay without them. Many other people including the tour guide from De Palm Tours were also so kind and I wish I could still personally thank each and every one of them. I don't know any other place in the world where you can break your nose and still be happy. I also don't know any other place in the world where there are so many kind people willing to help you, even if it means disrupting their vacation and having a stranger bleed on their towel. I'm still healing and it's been hard dealing with the scars forming on my face but everyday I look in the mirror I'm still grateful to be alive and knowing it could have been so much worse if those kind strangers hadn't been there to help me. I have already started planning my next trip to Aruba and hopefully this time I will come home without such a painful souvenir.

Wow, you're very lucky! I agree....the people are extremely nice, locals and vacationers. Glad you're okay and had we been there, we'd of let you bleed on our towels too LOL

Natural pool is a dangerous place. The trek/climb on the rocks is very treacherous.

I am glad that you are making progress and YES YES YES Arubans and the tourists are very hospitable and helpful.

I am so sorry your souvenir was a broken nose and messed up face.
Someday you may be able to laugh about it.

Take care and vitamin E oil to help with less scarring.
