Finally made it!!!

Arrived on Saturday about 6Pm. In the all inclusive suites . Daughter (13) loves it, pool out fornt door, pool out back door, beach 20 feet away! Hotter than I was expecting (well, we did come from the UK, where 75 is a HOT day!).

Flight with Thomson air was a nightmare. 9 and a half hours, with no drinks unless you paid for them, my daughter had to have a tea with her meal...they ran out of ice after 2 hours in the air, and that was after being delayed for 2 hours before takeoff.

Will update as and when I find the time. Folks here are very friendly..I just wish the flights from the UK were a bit better for getting here, I'd consider returning if they did.

If you're around the suites look for me on the beach!

Cheers,

Greg

near as I could tell, the service on the flight was the norm. Was interested to find the crew were flying us there, and another crew was bringing the plane and returning passengers back. The crew that brought us were staying here for a week, and then would bring the next flight to the UK. Don't you just pity poor flight crews. Having to spend a week inAruba every time they fly ovr!!!

It's a tough job, but someone has to do it.

I'll plan on seeing you guys at the beach bar next monday....

Cheers,

Greg, Vernis, and EMMMMMERRRRRR! (the obnoxious 13 year old)!

Went to depalm island today for a half day. Not my cup of tea, although my OH and DD loved the snorkeling. Myself, I thought it ws a waste of money, but I know better than to say it out loud. I doubt I'd go back again, I think we'd have had a better day on the beach at the tam..... OH has her first of 3 days diving tomorrow and on Saturday she and DD are going on a snorkeling cruise, so I have the whole day to myself...sounds like the perfect time to do a check on my mark one eyelids, make sure there are no leaks!

I'd do it more often but the wifi here is the pits, and I can't seem to get online long enough to buy the good link....

Pickup at 14:30 tomorrow for the long flight back to the UK....I'll try and get time to post a long article on my impressions of Aruba, Thhe Tamirijn, and the tours we took. Have to say, overall it was a great holiday, but there were a few "bugs" in the ointment.

Cheers,

Greg
