had a good time again this year.
got back on the 20th. we had a good time without the kids this year...
 we got into aruba on nov 13th, picked up our rental jeep and got all settled into the room at the lacabana. kinda disappointed with the lacabana. the room was so so clean and the hall ways smelled horrible all week. we basically bummed around on friday night. saturday we picked up food and supplies and checked out the beach and water in the afternoon. then started downing a few alcoholic beverages waiting for the kukoo kunuku bus to get us. holy cow what a good time that was. thanks to everyone that recommended them. we were expecting a crappy dinner but man were we wrong. they took us to a really cool house and had a steak and chicken dinner. very good. then it was off to the bars. man i haven't been that drunk in a long time..lol. whats really funny was the crew in front of us on the bus we got to talking with over the course of the night were also from nj and actually lived 5 minutes down the road from us..lol what are the chances. we exchanged e-mail addresses and sent each othere the pictures we took that night. sunday was sit on the beach day. we basically relaxed all day played in the water. things like that. monday we headded out in the jeep. we went to baby beach, charlies bar(what a pain to find) NOTE: if ya go to charlies, make sure you do not leave anything in your vehicle. we had a guy steal some food and drinks out of our cooler that was on the floor in the back seat of the jeep. when we got to the jeep a guy wanted cash for running the thief off. most likely the guy that stole the stuff in the first place.., checked out the windmills. they are just too cool, checked out the caves, stopped at boca prins bar for a drink and explored a bunch of the desert side of the island.. tuesday it was the Tranquilo trip all day. it was a nice trip out to the reef. the first part of the snorkeling was cool but the drift part was incredible. kinda freaky in 30 or so feet of water but the fish and scenery was incredible and like an entire different world. again thank you to everyone who recommended the Tranquilo trip. well worth the money and a must do in my opinion. lunch was ham and cheese sandwiches, some kind of fish sandwich and soup. only bad scenery on the trip was where the incinerator was and the nasty black smoke pouring out of the power plant (still can't believe they are allowed to get away with that)> but all in all it was a great time. wed. we were out in the jeep again. started at the natural pool and worked our way to the natural bridge and then to the light house on the dirt roads. we really had fun cruising desert side, saw alot of cool stuff thursday we para sailed and got towed around in a 3 person tube. the tube was a blast. i was laughing the entire time. my sister and jamie didn't find it as funny though.. almost lost them a few times..lol. they were sore for a couple days. i was fine though and i'm supposed to be the old one in the group..lol. jamie and i also checked out the butterfly place. my god there is butterflys everwhere in there..lol. jamie loved it in there. oh and i can't say enough about aqua windies (http://www.aquawindies.com/) we stopped there to buy some snorkel stuff and the prices were very fair. jamie and my sister were real happy to find waterproof flip flops for $5 that they can't seem to find here in the states..lol and we had a nice breakfast there too. very nice people. friday we went for a swim in the morning and then headed back to nj. we did do a lot of other things while there but can't remember the exact order so i didn't post them. you can see everywhere we were in my pictures. link to my pictures. http://s70.photobucket.com/albums/i1...oe/aruba%2009/ IE users beware. i hear ya get pop ups. i use firefox and never see a popup. pics got all out of order somehow..lol. .
