Honeymoon in Aruba

Here is my honeymoon story!

• SUNDAY - flew all day and got there around 10pm. Room wasn't what we were expecting at the Costa Linda for honeymooners, so that wasn't so great. Mattress was hard as a rock! We slept separate that night but the next night we got our room switched and all was well
• MONDAY - Woke up, rented a car at the Avis Desk. Hubby's card was placed on hold for international charges, oh no! Had to get that fixed. Eventually got everything straightened out. Enjoyed the rest of our day at the pool and beach, so relaxing! Went grocery shopping for the week. For dinner we had Sbarro's pizza, hubby's fave!
• TUESDAY - Went to De Palm Island all day, had a BLAST!!! Snorkeled, ate food and drank lots of Balashi all day long. Didn't even need to eat dinner that night because we filled up on the food on the island. I love that place! So peaceful. Also got a Honeymooners massage by the water, SO relaxing. All we could hear were the waves hitting the shore. That night went to the Westin to gamble, doubled our money in 10 minutes and left! Turned out to be a great day
• WEDNESDAY - had the Kuku Kunuku bus booked this night so we layed low all day. Slept in the room for a few hours, just relaxed and spent quality time together. The bus was SO much fun!! Had a blast, met lots of really nice people. We were one of three honeymoon couples on the bus we were on. I did get our names on the bus somehow, not sure why. We ended up seeing one of the other couples again a few days later.
• THURSDAY - Spent most of the day by the pool, then spent a lot of time downtown driving around. We ate at El Gaucho this night (of course) and it was DELISH. Made my heart happy!
• FRIDAY - Pool all day, then went to try and see the new Will Ferrell movie down by the Reniessance but it wasn't playing yet. Last year we saw the Hangover 2 there but I guess that movie wasn't a new release at the time. So instead we went and gambled and ate at Iguana Joe's. YUM!
• SATURDAY - Went deep sea fishing with the other honeymooners! WHAT A BLAST! Caught 6 Baracuda and almost a Mahi Mahi but he got away. Went downtown with them and ate lunch, then took them back to our hotel and spent more time at the pool bar drinking Balashi and talking. We had lots of comparisons about weather - they were from Minnesota and us from Texas. BIG difference! After that we ordered another round, then went to get ready for our last night out. Went back to the Westin and gambled a little, then went and ate at Blossoms. So good! Tried to go back to gamble but all the tables were full, eek! Drove back to the La Cabana where the couple was staying and gambled at their casino on sight. Won some money there so good deal!
• SUNDAY - early morning flight back, bummer. So tired but so happy

Thanks for your trip report. I'm so glad you had a fun trip and you won twice at the casinos! Awesome! Isn't it funny how the days leading up to the trip seem to drag on and the days you are in Aruba fly by? It's almost like there aren't 24 hours in an Aruban day.
