My kids' clothes are packed. Some food & toiletries are in bags on the dining room table. That is as far as packing goes at this point. The suitcases are out & about around the house. My Missy (Bichon Frise) is so old & blind she's not in panic mode which is usually what happens when she sees the suitcases come up from the basement.
Dogs' caregivers are sorted out. Four different people to cover our time away. The bulk of it will be people staying in our home so the dogs will be comfortable and the cat will be cared for and the pool won't be green when we get home.
My daughter & her boyfriend got into an argument & broke up on Sunday. As it stands right now he is not coming with us (obviously). It's a little late to rent their room! I'm a little annoyed, but should be more caring than cold & thinking of money lol
This will be the smallest group we've ever traveled to Aruba with, other than our honeymoon!
I think pet care is such a big deal. You're fortunate to have someone watch over her at home! I can't relax unless I know our dog will be happy while we're gone. Two days to go so I guess there's time for your daughter and boyfriend to make up. You never know! If not, Aruba will be a good distraction. Happy planning and packing!

Have a wonderful time, Jacki. The first thing I do when I book the flight and before I book our place to stay is to make sure someone stays with my babies. since we paid for my stepdaughter's wedding in Aruba, I told her she owes us about 10 years, lol. She stays at our house for the whole time. but she's a sweetheart, she would do it anyway. though she keeps trying to want to steal one of my babies. lol.
