We stayed at Costa Linda about 4 years ago. I thought the beach there was terrific plenty of room and beautiful. Not as built up as Palm Beach though.
We still had to get early to get a pool chair or the Chickee at the beach but you were more spread out. This trip we stayed at Surf for 1 week hard to get pool chairs at least their chickees you can rent for 2 days at a time so your not up at the crack of dawn on vacation. but then we went to Holiday Inn (yeah what a switch) all in all the holiday wasn't bad our room was nice. But beach area is reallly really crowded. I thought had to get up at 6:45 to get a chickee you need the shade so you do it right. But its aruba and I will take it anyway I can

Confused we are staying at Casa Del Mar will the surf be bad and will it be rocky. I have a bad knee and can't stand up good. Will I be able to get in the ocean and not have problem standing?

The ocean in that area can have some small waves or be perfectly flat or somewhere in between. At times, there can be actual waves. It all depends on the weather. Palm Beach is the only place on the island where we have stayed and seen the ocean flat for two weeks at a time.

As to rocks, owners there can attest better, but from what I understand, that too is at the whim of Mother Nature.
