Just got back 12/10/2012 - Fantastic!

Wow what a great trip. We arrived last Sunday and got home late last night. Weather was fanrtastic! We had to post how much we enjoyed Aruba this year. Fishing was great. We kept enough to bring to Mattews and Tortuga Grille to cook up a couple nights. B-55, Salt and Pepper, Zeerovers, Pizza Bobs were all good. payless car rental worked out good $185.00 for 8 days. Met Dan from here and the Bent Page and picked of one of his books at Scotts Bratts while eating a great breafast. Real good bloody mary's at Scotts too. No problem with duty free booze coming and going. trolly still not don down town. We caught a great sunset on the Black Pearl sunset cruise-they really know how to do it right. Go to the airport at 4:30 for a 6pm sunday flight-no probs. Matthews has a $3.25 ham and cheese omlet with toast mon thru fri - great deal. cant beat Scotts prices behinf Playa Linda. B-55 was very tasty BBQ and chicken soup. Lecca Lecca for gelatto was great. Had drinks all over. Moomba Beach bar was fun and crazy as one guy fell into the sink off the bar-not hurt. Bugaloos, Matthews for happy hour is alot of fun. Loved having some drinks at the Bunker Bar-what a view. The surf got pretty rough a couple days. All in all best Aruba trip so far.

Where the shops open next to the Alahambra Casino? We are going back in 61 days. Can't wait to come back. Seems like forever. Your trip sounded amazing.

maryellen16, Yes the shops were all open. Nothing like the old shops. Two coffee places right next to each other-go figure. A nice market with food, beer, wine ect. Some higer end shops tooand a Divi store.
Gaby, you were on the same flight as us. I slept the whole flight home. We were still on the beach at 3pm! Wish we had a couple more days.
It did rain twice heavy for like 10 minutes real early in the morning but we had great weather. The weather report showed rain almost everyday. We never listen to them.We feel Sunday is a better day to leave so we stay an extra day-no problem getting another night at ABC.
We would advise to bring a cheap blow up raft-we had such a relaxing time floating around. We also hit Spa Del Sol twice for the couples massage, once we we got there and once right before we left. That really is a traquil place at Manchebo Beach resort.
P.S that vacation vault was a great tip we got here. First it marks your papala and no one can move it. We also like to take very long walks on the beach so we could leave money and such without any worries. I never wore shoes until dinner. Just a bathing suit and sunglasses - no shower, hit the ocean and chill, what a life!
Best part were the sunsets and sunrises-we didnt miss one. Very tough being back at work today.

you were on flight 1041, lol. we had the boogie boards at our townhouse so we used those. never listen to the weather. i checked on the computer while in aruba (we went for two weeks), and its saying rain all day and the sun is shining brightly. i swear they don't even check for the weather there. they said rain for the whole two weeks we were going to be there and it was beautiful for the whole two weeks. just bits of rain here & there, nothing to stop you.

you're right, sunday is a great day to fly out. no traffic getting to the airport because alot of things are closed, the airport is empty, especially the 6 o'clock flight since everyone has already left either at 1 o'clock for the NY flight or 4 o'clock for the first flight out to newark.

we stay at the gold coast townhomes. too bad we didn't know you were going to be there, we could have hooked up for a drink. i did manage to get my husband off the beach but i hope he doesn't read you were on the beach until 3. i made him get off at 1:30 and he was NOT a happy person.
