Kent Gerber in Aruba
We landed at midnight Sunday night and we are settled in at the Marriott Surf Club. 10th floor out by the ocean. Wow these rooms are nice!!!! 2 bedrooms, full kitchen and even washer and dryer in the unit. These are the biggest rooms I have ever stayed in. I guess when you see my 10 storage tubs that I leave here I better have a BIG room. We brought our kids this week. Kyra is 16 and this is her 4th trip to Aruba. Kyle is 22 and he brought his friend Mark 22. This is Marks first time and Kyles 3rd. Our oldest daughter is Married, Kasha and her and Josh are coming down in a few weeks. I took the kids snorkling to Molmeck the first day and plenty of fish to feed and see. We ate at Pizza Bobs the first night which my wife could eat there every night. Tuesday there were no cruise boats in so we went to DePlam Island. The kids LOVED it. There were about 30 BIG Blue Parrott fish and the kids were petting them. Thats how tame they are. We ate at Rumbas for lunch. If you ever go there for lunch the nice little waitress Joaneech is the BEST waitress you will find on Aruba. Her Mom works at the Marriott and she is GREAT!!! Tell her Mr. Gerber sent you and she will get a big bang out of that. Late last night we went to Lindas Pancake. the boys had pizza and we had a pancake. The boys went to the casino and each put $20 in. My boy lost in about 30 minutes and Mark walked away with $40. First time he ever played and when he won he said I'm cashing out. Thats a smart boy. Also went to Mangel Halto the first day in the afternoon so the boys could get use to the water scooters. They really did a great job. Everything is great at Aruba and the weather is great. Monday night I drove by the Amster place and looked for anyone to be there for the BB party and I never seen anyone out there so we went on. I will keep you posted but it might be every 2 or 3 days because with 3 teenagers and a wife that wants me to walk 4 miles every morning, there is not much time to goof off. Take care. Kent Gerber
