I do the jeep rental and tour on my own since I have been here 18 times.
There is no place to rent scooters so I own them myself.
I will get in touch with you DannyO

    Smile

Last night I thought I would try Cooks since I have only ate there 1 times several years ago. I took a friend along from the Island and he is a cook on the Island. We were there from 6 to 8:30 and they had all you can eat and we were the only 2 that ate there that night. I can't believe that place can keep going. Maybe the weekends are better but my buddy said since you have to climb all those stairs, the older people maybe don't come. I am going to wrap up this trip report because today is my last day so its just a packing day to get all my snorkle gear put away and my underwater scooters. I really had alot of fun these 7 weeks. The 1 week on Bonaire was awsome for the snorkling. Its the clearest water in the world. We did make 1 change for our next trip. We are not going to stay at the Marriott. I found a place, thanks to Steve Olefson, 3 minutes away from Mangel Halto and the place is called Clubarias. You can google that to check it out but the guys name is Arias Scwarz and he and his wife have a place with 10 rooms right on the main road about 5 minutes south of the Balashi plant. Its about 4 blocks off the ocean but the place is awsome!!! 2 pools and they treat you like a KING and QUEEN!!! They will pick you up at airport and they have a chef from The Old Man at the Sea. He does breakfast every morning for you and Wed night is pasta night so he does pizza and pasta for you. During the day it is so quiet there. You really have the place to your self. If anyone needs a few nights before or after your timeshare syarts, this is the place. You will fall in LOVE with it, The rooms are spectacular and also he has 3 kinds of drink that you help your self to all day long. Ice tea, water and lemonade. He also has 3 rinos so you can pay for a Island tour. I am going to book 15 weeks with him for this summer and next winter. Its right where I snorkle so there is no road time for me and you never have to get up to get a chair or palapa. When I am at the Marriott, I always want to do what I can for my guest that are staying there so this year, some weeks I was up at 2 am to be first in line for a palapa, and 5 am to get a pool chair. I almost need a vacation from this vacation, if you know what I mean. This year was the best weather I have ever had. 6 weeks on Aruba and 1 week on Bonaire I seen it rain or sprinkle 3 times total for about 5 minutes each time. I can't believe it. We did lose the wind for 3 days and I have never seen that before. Also I have seen some very windy days this year that you were getting sandblasted at the beach. All in all Aruba is still the best!! Great people, great food, great snorkling and a great time. When I get some free time I will post some pics from this trip. Thanks to everyone for all you comments and if you have any questions about anything, please e-mail me at kentgerber@adamswells.com

    Smile Kent Is The MAn!

Hey there Kent, it Definitly was a pleasure meeting you, and also thank you once again for everything from the Snorkeling to the Dinner at Cooks. For anyone who has not met this man, you will know for sure when you do that he is a true Aruba Lover. he appreciates everything we have here on the island and shows it as if he was one of our own. If I may, i just wanted to touch on the subject of cooks restaurant. and clarify a few things some may have misunderstood. Recently they have revamped the menu and completely switched the staff, as many other restaurants it takes some time to pick itself off the ground and in this case we did see some proof in that on tues evening.i was invited to the tasting of the new menu as were other chefs and BB moderators and we all agreed that the new menu was incredible. The food has great flavor and presentation, only thing was they wanted to try an all you can eat buffet on tuesdays and the theme changes weekly. this past week was indian cuisine and must say though it was tasty it is not something many people appreciate a taste for. I agree with kent in saying it was definitly an off night in guest counts while we were their, but in defense for cooks, (which I dine there Quite a bit...) it was the slowest i have ever seen it, it normally is around 35 - 45 % occupancy, i have to say it does make it difficult for some older guests to climb the stairs. but they are in the works to adjusting that. anyways I dont want to come accrossed as promoting it by any means but thought i would clarify a few things. In general it was a very pleasant evening, and i will continue to dine their for their all you can eat sushi nights and steak dinners. Im hoping next time kent you will allow me to treat you to sushi night. Thank you again for everything and I'll make sure to hold down the fort until you return. Best regards,
    -Gabriel
