The section around the Surf Club has become very crowded, I have some of those pictures but they are not as flattering so I did not include them. Thanks for posting the pictures Andrea. If anyone is craving beach pictures let me know and I will send more to Andrea to post. The coral/reef area was amazing to see and take pictures of today.
I did well at the casino tonight. I returned up $500 which improves the chances I can do another live report in June, lol. I can't tell you how much I am enjoying this trip. I honestly think I have more Arubian friends right now than Americans back in the States. The people here are just amazing!

Looks like another difficult day on the island. Its another sunny day with a nice breeze. I am headed to BLT for dinner tonight. I will be dining with on of the best waitresses on the island Gwen and I can't wait to taste the melt in your mouth Filet again.
I just returned from another walking adventure. The walk was similar to the one I took a few days earlier but added on some distance today. I walked from the Ritz to the Casa Del Mar to meet a friend for a drink, and then walked back. I had a chance to view the rooms at Casa Del Mar and the Aruba beach club and both places are solid choices for a lower cost stay directly on the beach. In case you are not sure both places are right past Costa Linda. Today's walk was just shy of 9 miles, I downloaded an app instead of guessing how far I walk each day, lol. I think I have earned my Filet tonight at BLT
I was have been really impressed other options that are out there for people to choose from when visiting Aruba. Good to know about the playmates for my son if we ever stay down there. You are right about the location, its much better than I could have imagined it being- there were many more shops/places to eat around there than I thought, I need to get out more often, lol. If I come in June on my own I want to walk all the way into town, if I do that I will probably cab it back but only time will tell how ambitious I am that day.
Another option could be to actually spend quite some time in town and do some exploring there. I always loved Oranjestad, strolling around the yacht haven, Seaport Marketplace Mall, walking through Wilhelmina Park (there is a big statue of Queen Wilhelmina) and if you are lucky, there are some big iguanas basking in the sun. They there would be The West Deck located on a small beach were local fishermen have their little boats. Walking back into town, there is a big Renaissance Mall with lots of nice stores and little restaurants (cafe, ice cream etc). Then the new Main Street with the trolley (I have not seen it yet).
And if you like exploring, just walk through some of the streets, there are many historical buildings.
