I just returned from breakfast at Solanio. I had my typical breakfast that was excellent as always. I had an omlette, bacon, sausage and the best waffles going with an muffin. Looks a bit overcast right now. I am going to relax on the balcony and read for a bit I am thinking.

Today turned out to be a really sunny day in the end. I spent about 4 hours lounging around the pool reading a book and relaxing today. I tried to go for a walk but did not make it far before turning around...my foot is to sore to make it very far.

I am thinking about taking a cap nap prior to going out with one of my island friends tonight. We are headed to BLT Steak for dinner then we will head out and play in the poker tournament tonight at the Hilton. I look forward to seeing Chuck (cpjones) tonight if he makes it there.

I am not the smartest of patients. I played my sophomore year of college with torn ligaments in my ankle and was suppose to be out for the year....I have not gotten much smarter in the last 25 years, lol. I will take a walk tomorrow if I have to hop the entire walk.

Have a great vacation !.. Love the reports from the Ritz....take care of the foot. I bought me some really good high arch flops for our trip last week....really worked out well ! The think loose sand can be rough on the feet.....I tried to walk on the flat part of the beach near the surf so the sand was firm....good luck !

throw a damp facecloth in the microwave for 45 seconds.
might be able to take the place of a heating pad.

Last night was a great night with only one exception. I did not see cpjones as I was not wearing my poker hat so he did not figure out who I was....crap.

My good friend and I dined at BLT Steak last night. I requested to have Gwen serve us as she is the best around. I started with my typical caeser salad and then had the filet, both incredible as always. It was great going out to dinner with one of my island friends Eddie. I don't get surprised often but Eddie really surprised me yesterday. I went to the bathroom and when I returned the check was on the table, I went to grab the bill only to find that Eddie had paid the bill when I was in the bathroom. Seriously? I was in total shock but that seems to happen to me at least once a trip here at the Ritz.

After our great dinner we headed over the the Hilton to play in the poker tournament. I had a blast seeing my island friends and playing...I got knocked out early but they started a cash game soon after I got knocked out. I had a nice night gambling and have I am now in the positive territory for the trip after losing almost $500 day one, lol.

I am getting ready to head down for breakfast.

I sit on my balcony after a wonderful breakfast at Solanio this morning. It is always nice to see Maurice Tax (manager) and Chef Stanwick who remember my name better than I could last night after about 20 bacardi and cokes, lol. Dinner last night was casual at the Divi bar. I had my good friend sebastian wait on my so that was always nice.

After dinner I headed out to the casino and did not return to my hotel room until 3:30am. When I return that late it is typically a really successful night but not so much, lol. Oh well, my motto is you don't gamble with money you can't afford to lose. That said, I still hope to get back on the positive side tonight.

Little bit overcast right now although it will probably burn off soon and be another typical great day in Aruba.
