Another Massachusetts resident here who feels your pain. We're off to Aruba for our annual visit next week. Usually the weather is fine with maybe a brief two minute shower in the afternoon. You'll love Aruba!

i am disappointed for you.

i would drop them an email while you are still on island and express your displeasure and please tell them exactly what your concerns were.

We went to the Buccaneer Last night. I have to say I was quite unhappy with both the food and the service. I know that we are not at a 5 star place but...

We got there are like 6:30, we were sat in the left room, we made table number 3 in that room. It was me, my wife, and 2 kids.

Some of the things are very small which I could deal with but when you look at the entire meal, just adds up...

First we sat and we were offered drinks, we told them that we were just going to have water, (which is very good). The waiter filled my wife's and my glass, but gave my kids none, the waiter then disappeared and I had to find them to get the kids some water.

Then we ordered, we had 2 appetizers, I had the seafood platter, wife had the buliobase (spelling), kids had the fish sticks.

The waiter brought the appetizers and just basically dropped them on the table and walked away, did not give any plates to eat on. I had to locate him again for plates.

The appetizers were ok, but might just have been the flavors that I was not totally crazy about.

This is where I get annoyed,
They bring my kids their fish....
Then we wait, and wait, and wait, and wait.
Probably 10-12 minutes go buy and we still don't have the adults food. Now the kids are basically done with dinner (a 3 and 6 year old). The waiter said "your food will be out shortly". So now we have to try to eat our food and keep the kids occupied. Luckily the fish tanks help out with that.

The adults food came, and have to say I was not really impressed at all.
Every bit of "shellfish" was overcooked (like really really chewy). The grouper was the fish of the day, and was cooked very well.

For the $90 check and taxi round trip from the Radisson, was not a good meal......

Well we are going to hit the beach NOW!!!!

Give you guys an update later on!

Last night we went to El Gaucho. I have to say that it was the BEST food that we have eaten so far. One of my kids had ribs, and the other had the filet.

My wife had the filet and said that it was awesome!

I went for the Porthouse at $48. But i have to say that it was AWESOME. Was a huge piece.

We had lunch at Salt and Pepper across from the Radisson. It was good, no complaints, and reasonably priced.

Today, we hit the beach, then we played BINGO at the pool. We won the 3rd game where we got a free pool cabana, a tshirt, and a couple frozen drinks. WOOHOO.

Then me and my wife ate at Passions. We are traveling with another family and they took our kids.

We had a great time, the ambiance is wonderful, and the food was pretty good. The service was very good. I would definitely go back!.

Then we came back to the hotel, and kids were not back yet. So I took the good luck charm, my wife, to the casino and hit the craps table. Well she is definitely good luck. We played for about 20 mins an we won $400..... Now lets hope that I don't give it all back!

That is it for now. Update you all tomorrow, and I will try to get a few pics up!

You could call the restaurant and ask for Angela, she's an owner and member of this forum. Maybe she would do something for you. She's a sweetheart and I am sure she would want to know your experience.

Sgroi135,

I hope the weather has gotten nicer for you, have a great time, ( isn't Bully the best ? ) Have a bulashi for me and watch out for those Lizards. Aren't the birds in the lobby area great, especially the one that whistles. Just remember your on vacation, have a great time. Try the Casa Tua across the street, I'm sure the kids will love it.
