Met some locals at the airport and told us a lot.. but I did happen to mention "ya all's"
Got to Aruba 20 minutes early with a full flight. Actually sat up front. I like it cause you are off first.
Got throw customs withing 10 minutes and grab a taxi to the hotel.
Was greeted by a nice guy Hector who gave us the tour.
While checking in I did ask for a comp . upgrade and got a very nice room overlooking the pool with a very nice view of the ocean.
Quickly unpacked and went across the street to attend some of the King's Bday. Yep, I forgot my camera. But very sleepy.
Haven't been to bed in days.
Did go Cuba Cooking for lunch had the ribs (yes shared with Lou) and a frozen drink.
Decided it might be nice to catch a little nap now; before hitting the town.
So far everything is so beautiful. Weather is very hot.. 90's. With a little winds.
Hotel room is huge with all the upgrades in it. Very nice too.
Bathroom was all white and glass. Very surprised as well.
Okay time for that nap before I crock.
With everything being closed due to the Kings b'day.
Enjoying ourselves with lots of activities and music.
Walked throughout the marketplace; listen to the music and just took everything and enjoying ourselves.
Don't want to be over whelmed..
Did manage to squeeze in 2 places for happy hour. Had some Aruba frozen drink. Was good.
Then did a frozen lemonade made with lemon grey goose to cool off.. hot.
Hotel is better than we excepted. Beautiful view. Must keep the curtain close though. lol
Decided to stop for a late snack and went to siders... had the best burger. Hand made patties not the froze ones either.
Was able to sleep; so we decided to make it an early night. Have to be ready at 750 for our extra long tour of the island
with abc tours. They will pick us up at the hotel and bring us back.
Good night.. stay warm or dry.
Stay tuned....to be continue tomorrow.

LG Smith Steakhouse, Windows on Aruba,
I know how excited you have been about your trip, it is finally here Have a wonderful time and lots of fun and sunshine. Can't wait to read more about your trip but like Andrea says make sure you have some relaxing time by the beautiful beach. I'm sure you will be back many more times like the rest of us so if you relax a bit perhaps the time will not go by so fast. Have a tropical cocktail for me please
