Thanks for the trip reports. I know they need rain in Aruba but you must feel like a mushroom by now.

I got to enjoy the pool today from noon to 5pm. It was cloudy but some sun came out at 2pm.
Ms Daisy stayed indoors. Not a pool fan. I checked up on her at 130pm and I helped her heat up some left over pizza on microwave. I made a sandwich, left but came back to bring her a Pina coladas from the 2pm 2 for 1 happy hour. I had a great time and I needed that alone time. I jumped into the hot whirlpool, did the pool slide twice, swam, read and drank at 2pm and 4pm happy hour, plus some captain Morgan's from my room. Around 5pm Ms Daisy came out to the pool looking for me. She said you know I want to go to the casino tonight as my hands are itching so it's a good sign. Lol! Anyway, dinner tonight local. Either Amsterdam Damn Manor, Tullip or Islander Grill then casino. We will see..

Hope you won at the casino and had a great time. At least you were able to go to the pool. The slide sounds like fun to me.

    And the rain continues. :>).

Ate dinner at the Islander grill.i had a whole rack of ribs which were good and Miss Daisy had shrimp scampi. The food has improve over the years which is good for when you don't feel like venturing out. We went to the Glitz Casino and we were entertained for 2 hours. Lost about 40 each but played for along while. When we got back to the room it was raining. I left my bathing suit out to dry and it was soaked! Hoping for some beach weather tomorrow.

I saw video of it raining again yesterday with water in the road. For a minute there I could have sworn that I was looking at flooding in T&T. The only difference being that on Aruba there is not as much garbage or debris in the flood waters. Can't say that I blame you about taking the taxi back to LCBR from the Superfood, as someone who has had to balance grocery bags in one hand and an umbrella in another hand which walking home in the rain, yeah reduce the stress and take a taxi. I guess the Monday crowd was probably those people who were unable to make it to the grocery on Sunday and were making up for lost time.

One of the things that I miss about La Cabana along with its small size, intimate atmosphere, the on site store which sells some really good novels and the kind caring staff. Is the Islander Grill, the rack of ribs is amazing!! Been craving that and their burgers since 2014. And they are really generous when it comes to their portions of sides. Enjoy the remainder of your trip.

BTW how did Ms. Daisy do at the casino?

You make us feel like we are in Aruba. Keep up the great trip reports. Now people are saying the mosquitoes will be bad when we get there because all the rain. We will bring plenty of deet bug spray. Not hurricane, lack of winds, flooding or mosquitoes will stop us from our December trip. We have been taking notes of all the great places to eat at. Thanks to all of you guys that take time out of their vacation to keep us informed. Even those that are under the weather still share the happy news from Aruba!
Thanks Sean and Susan P.S I wonder if anybody took their rental car for a submarine ride?
