That's true CP Jones! We will see.

Had a fabulous time at Eagle Beach today! It was hot but the trade winds picked up a bit. The waves were really ruff unless you swam deep towards the ropes like I do. Ms Daisy decided not to go so this gave me some alone time. I had my water bottle filled with captain Morgan and coke so a nice relaxing time. I spent about an hour in the water. Lunch was left over from MJ the coco Rasta shrimp. I ate my steak tornadoes at the rest Tonight dinner wherever I decide. Casino and then 1 more day to go tomorrow.

Enjoy your dinner, just finished ours early. Time for a nap in my house, lol. Good luck at the casinos tonight!

I had a great day today and I am totally relaxed after 6 days. I brought a lot of stress and anxiety with me due to changes at work. I'm in a situation were there are just too many chiefs than Indians. A lot of master delegators yet they all make salaries above 6 figures. I really should not worry as I only have 6.5 years to retire with a full pension and then I can spend the winters in Aruba or at least a month at a time. I'm desperate to leave after 1.5 years early retirement but the pension is so low.

Anyway the trade winds really picked up late afternoon and I got to spend some time relaxing at the pool. For dinner I went to Tulips again and I had such a great meal. They have a 3 course dinner for 30 bucks and I had crab cakes made out of mahi mahi, a seafood casserole which was loaded with shrimps, scallops, grouper, salmon, calamari which came with white rice and was delicious. The dessert was cheese cake which I took to go as I was stuffed. This was one of the best dinners I had next to MJs yesterday. Ms Daisy had a nice mix grill of steak, ribs, chicken and sausage. She has left overs for lunch.

We had a nice time at the Glitz casino today. Ms Daisy lost $100 yesterday but she won $60 today and played for a long time. When I went to cash in her winnings I ran into that guy from yesterday. I said to myself oh no prepare to have a losing streak as he brought u xxx bad luck. Lol. Ms Daisy said should we stay and play another machine? I said hello no look who walked in! He really is a nice guy when he is sober like tonight but when he has a few, he is loud and obnoxious. When I have a few too many, I'm just sleepy and quiet.

Well day 7 tomorrow so I have to make the best of it. I really don't want to l leave not just because I'm in aruba having a great time but because I don't want to go back to my job. I will have to start scheduling yearly 2 week vacations to Aruba in order to deal with stress.

Ace, I definitely can relate to the job stress. Aruba tales it all away. Just think, it could be worse, I still have at least 18 years till retirement...lol. Until then we know we have Aruba to get away from it all. Thanks for sharing your trip with us.

So true Tracy. Sometimes I tell myself there is someone right now sitting in a jail cell saying to themselves "only 6.5 years to be free". There was this nice man I used to ride the bus going home every day from work who was always stressed out. About 5.5 years ago he told me he was retiring. I was happy for him but then I said, oh Lord I have 12 years to go! He looked at me, smiled and said, well it's also nice to be young. I think he was trying to say, don't be in a rush to get old because you will get there. And look 5.5 years flew bye. I'm just trying to stay positive. I am still in Aruba with a full day to enjoy, the trade winds are back so it's all good..

Day 7. I woke up relaxed, rested and stress free. I'm so grateful for this trip. This morning I made an omelette with ham, cheddar and salami, toast, coffee and cheese cake from last night's dinner. I ate outside at the patio. Today beach or pool, maybe both. I have reservations for Mjs tonight but I might just go next door to Mangoes to check it out. Tomorrow my flight leaves at 530pm but I have the room until Sunday so I can check out anytime I want. Which means I can enjoy the pool in the morning, leave by 2pm and be at airport for the 3 hour recommended time. We will see. Have a great day and I will post again later.

You're not along with the whole opting for early retirement from the job. I still have seventeen years to go till I get to call it a day and retire. With the stress, backstabbing, ingratitude and other maladies associated with it. I'm really not too certain if I will make it another year much less for seventeen more with the way things are going. I'm in the process of trying to sell of my share in a property that was left to me by my dad in his will, to the majority shareholder of the property, based on what I get it is possible to retire early and hopefully be able to divide my year between T&T(January to June) and Aruba(July to December); or really throw myself into my writing, self-publish with the hopes of eventually landing a publishing deal to write full time and be able to visit Aruba for two weeks at the end of every quarter before moving there on a part time/full time basis.

Hope that your last day is a Great one. Enjoy!!

Thanks for sharing your situation with me. It reminds me that I'm not the only one going thru this as I've been back stabbed and passed over for promotion yet I get rated very highly by customers. I'm just told that I'm too good at what I do and I'm needed where I'm at.

That would be nice if you could retire and write. I'm a musician who used to write songs and produce music in my home studio. These days I get home so late, tired and stressed out that I hardly have time anymore to play the piano and guitar but some day when I retire, I will have plenty of time. Hang in there!

Ace, thank you so much for sharing your's and Ms. Daisy vacation with us. You both are so blessed to have each other and enjoy being together.. most guys wouldn't dream of taking "mum" with them.. like you my son & I are very close. He takes me or I take him..
As for stress... I can relate too. All agency's nurse's at my place and seems like they have more pull then us.
Just 10 more short yrs. Thankfully I only work my full week in 3 days.. my new acting unit manager (only been there for less than a yr.. would never take it.. get fired cause of my mouth) position went straight over her head.
Calls me at 10:30 in the am (my sleep time) looking for the morphine.. well long story short it was where it was supposed to be locked up in the narc box.
Accusing somebody for stealing it.... sad

Any ways again thank you so much for sharing.. please give Ms. Daisy a huge hug for me. Feel like I know her . My mom lives up north and rarely see her.
Safe travels home and hope someday we can meet up in Aruba
