    My trip 6/19 to 6/26

    Day 1 6/19

At JFK 515 am for a 7am departure. Plane took off at 9am and arrived 130pm Aruba. Customs took 5 minutes. I went straight to agent and only 5 others there. I was first 5 people off plane. Baggage 10 minutes. At La Cabana 200pm and in room 220pm. What a miracle!

Went down for last half hour of happy hour and dinner at islanders grill was quite good. Casino for 2 hours left $25 up and back to room.

So glad to be in paradise!

One thing I like to add. I found the selections at duty free airport very limited. I like rum and they did not have any Captain Morgan. Bacardi Oakheart is actually a lot better but they did not have that either. All they had was a 2 liter bottle of Bacardi white for $30 which is no bargain. I get it for $27 in the states before tax sometimes $25. They did have a big sale on Malibu Rum. I ended up paying $33 for a liter of Bacardi Oakheart at super foods which I thought was expensive.

glad that you got settled into your room at lacabana early! i guess that the 2 hour delay at the beginning, became a non issue when you landed, breezed thru immigration and then got all checked in

thanks so much for sharing your story ace and we look forward to your report.

I especially want to hear of your review of the italian restaurant at Paradise Beach Villas!

    Enjoy

Looking forward to your reports when you have a chance. Any special excursions or restaurants this trip? I'm also interested to know how you compare your stay at LaCabana to MVC (last year right?)
Not sure when, but we will be back
